Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Reading Elizabeth Zimmermann has always been a deep pleasure and a revelation. She insists that you think through the process and in doing so enables you to produce what you want. It's not a process for the those who want to mechanically follow a pattern or have their hand held all the way through. This is a book to help you understand, deeply, how to knit. If you wish to do this, then EZ is your author.

5.0 out of 5 stars This book will change your knitting life for ever ...., 3 Dec 2009
Just the best book I've read on knitting ever. EZ's delightfully conversational style and her explanation of her way of thinking are so simple that it all seems perfectly obvious. Before I read this book I struggled and fought with patterns, yarn and needles making knitting a deeply frustrating process. This text of this book has been updated by EZ's daughter Meg Swansen and her insights after many years of teaching the method are also invaluable. My copy of this book is battered beyond belief and yet everytime I pick it up I learn something new. Why haven't you got a copy yet, hmm?

5.0 out of 5 stars Hilarious!, 9 July 2007
This review is from: Sword Of Xanten [DVD] [2005] (DVD)
One of the most unintentionally funny films ever to be committed to celluloid. Portentious, pompous and unfathomable at all points; it's best enjoyed with a group of cynical teenagers and large quantities of crisps, pizza and far too much alcohol. Recommended for a rainy, cold afternoon and for those with tolerant outlook on superhuman overacting skills.
