5.0 out of 5 stars A masterful book - Looking forward to the Sequel(s)!, 20 July 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: The Dream Engine (Kindle Edition)
This book has all the hallmarks of an Epic tale - a strong central character 'finding herself' and being challenged in mind and spirit, a world of mystery and multiple facets, strong surrounding characters, more questions than answers... I loved it! I have enjoyed several other books written by Johnny and Sean and this is even better - more mature, more rounded, more confident perhaps.

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves to sink themselves into a different world, that tests your imagination. The prospect of a whole series of books to read with (I hope!) spin off stories and tales, prequels, sequels etc is very exciting. This first book is just a glimpse of an intriguing world and has gone straight to my 'waiting for the next one' folder in my kindle.

But that is not all - as another reviewer has pointed out, the characters are very strong, the relationships between them are developed to a point in this first book and again in a way that leaves you wanting to know more - how will events change them, will they be working together in future or against each other? Are they even all seeing and experiencing the same things? There is so much still to find out, so go and read it for yourself!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Evernote Guide and Productivity Boost, 13 July 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This book promises a lot from the title and it certainly delivers that!

It starts with very practical useful tips on how to use Evernote, how to set it up with tags and notebooks, a really straightforward practical approach that will actually work.

The book then moves on to describe some exceptional advanced features, most of which I was not even aware of or at least hadn't realised their potential. Things like sending email to evernote, AND how to tag them so you dont have to go 'back in' and tag them all later.

Finally the book truly moves into some 'life changing' stuff with the Evernote process flow and the 75 ways to use Evernote. You can see how Steve is such a prolific and productive writer - well with this book there is a chance that a little of that will rub off!

I could see for the first time that with the help of this book I might actually achieve a paperless office and even more importantly, increase my productivity many times over.

I would thoroughly recommend this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars How to Focus on the Most Important Tasks AND get them done, 30 May 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Have just finished week 2 of using the To Do List Makeover and am thrilled with the results! I am using Evernote as recommended in the book and by following the approach in the book am really making progress with my number 1 priority of getting my new website up and running. This is not a 'quick fix' book, it is rather a steady helpful guide to how to make the important things happen in your life and has been hugely helpful in showing how you can focus and manage all the other distractions from social media, email etc etc. It is very practical and realistic and gives alternatives and approaches that you can try out and adapt to suit your own needs and preferences. Am very pleased that I bought it and have had the opportunity to try it out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Practical and Inspired Ideas for small changes, 24 April 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I loved the simplicity and thoroughness of this book. I admit I am biased as I am already a huge fan of Steve Scott, but he always has new ideas and a fresh twist and this book is no exception. Steve is like many good teachers - he makes you feel good about what you are doing already whilst at the same time managing to offer suggestions for improvements and changes that are 'do-able' and do not leave you feeling overwhelmed with the enormity of the task. This book is truly what it says on the cover - small life changes that can be picked one at a time and take less than 5 minutes to do but will make a real difference. The categorisation of the ideas into Productivity, Organisation, Personal Life etc is inspired and further helps you to choose what is most important at the current time to be applied to your own life and circumstances. Thanks again Steve for a great book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Valuable and well presented Ideas for making money online, 18 Mar 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I liked this book for the well presented range of ideas and explanations as to how to make money online, combined with Steve's frank opinions and realistic views. Each idea has enough information to show you how the idea actually works and how money can be made as well as helpful links to resources and examples that can be explored.

The book does not go into too much detail about each idea as this would be overwhelming, and has been helping me firstly to understand the concepts and secondly to make an assessment as to whether I could or would follow the idea through to an actual project. It is the broad brush of this particular book that gives it its appeal and value. It is a book I expect to come back to many times over to review and re think as I gain more experience in making money online.

I have not yet explored all of the links and additional resources that are pointed to from this book, but I have tried a lot of of them and they have all been well worth the time and effort to review. I have already read several of Steve's own more detailed books on specific topics such as affiliate marketing, blogging etc which are referred to in the text and highly recommend these as well! They have the same attention to detail, strong structure and voice of experience.
