5.0 out of 5 stars Thanks EST!, 21 Sep 2005
This review is from: Strange Place for Snow (Audio CD)
Sometime you feel like you dont have more power to continue and everything looks blurry, meaningless. Rarely something comes along and changes the way you look towards life, fills you up, makes everything around you look great, meaningful and clear. This album is that something.
Thanks EST!

How can something reach into your heart and bring all your emotions to the fore is a mistery. This album is one of those misteries.

3.0 out of 5 stars Sometimes one note can express more than ten., 27 Feb 2004
This review is from: A Journey Within (Audio CD)
What a start! The guitar riff, bass, percussions, rhythym, overall arrangement and ofcourse Ruben Blades and Gilberto Santa Rosa make the first song "La Salsa en mi" a wonderful start to the album. And for the rest - Although the riffs at some points sound as they are from a guitar tuition CD, they are all wonderful melodies. Technicality is not something you should look for in this album. You should not expect the sound of Jazz Greats (Metheny-Scofield-Stern-Di Meola). It is more a Pop Jazz/smooth jazz album which is plesant to listen to. Sometimes one note can express more than ten.
Until track 10 you are fine. But I believe that Mr. Williams just to show his diverse approaches to music has added "track 10" which is a song on cheesy house beat which I think shouldn't have taken place in this album, as you feel that you are listening to a complete different album.
Overall, do not expect something spectacular but if you are looking for a jazz/latin album with a rock structure(in some songs) that is going to put a smile on your face, or want to listen some smooth melodies, then go for it.
