4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty damned good!, 27 Oct. 2002
Well...the selection of ships isn`t as big as I`d like, and the ship stats have to be fudged a little to come in-line with the Revised CoreRules, but overall the book is still VERY good!
It expands nicely on the small number of ships in the RCRB...though the Corellian Starcruiser`s stats are very different (I`d use those from the RCRB, they seem much better).
The new Prestige Classes are great, once updated with the revision (from the WOTC website), and the Starship design system is beautifully easy.
There`s also a small section on running non-spacy characters in a spacy-adventure, which, with the stuff from the RCRB, goes together to keep everyone busy.
And finally the new manoeuvres...great!
If you buy this, and you use the RCRB then you may need a few extra minutes work on your part, but it`s well worth buying.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very interesting for Martial Artists, well worth reading!, 7 Mar. 2001
Though I don't practice Japanese martial arts (rather Thai martial arts) I did enjoy the Book of Five Rings. An excellent insight into Musashi's views. It may take more than one reading to fully take in but as we all know: excellence takes time. Buy this book, learn from it.
