5.0 out of 5 stars a great read, 26 July 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
A great follow up novel to the previous books in the Tom Gray series, with more sub plots than you can shake a stick at. A story where the action switches from London to the African jungle. From east end gangsters, to ex SAS elite soldiers, from bent police officers to MI5 investigations. A great, well written easy read.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great page turner, 7 Jun 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
It's been a while since I've read an Andy McNab book and I'd forgotten just how good they are. Andy McNab is a master story teller. As a former SAS soldier himself, his stories are full of tactical details and facts that only come with that deep connection, not from research. A great page turner involving a war criminal who takes control of the Channel Tunnel, along with 400 hostages, whilst escaping from an SAS raid on his Hampstead hideout. A great read.

4.0 out of 5 stars an unpredictable page turner, 14 May 2014

The story has many twists and turns. From being attacked by a terrorist group, escaping, being the victim of a man hunt to a discovery of "the truth" only to be led into another blind alley. Dani the heroine of the geeks has more lives than you can shake a stick at. Far fetched yes, but nevertheless enjoyable.

Let's face it we've all been in situations where we've had to say no and felt awkward or uncomfortable in doing it. Maybe it's dealing with a difficult supplier, or an unreasonably demanding customer, Yolanda's book is a practical guide for real world situations. Packed full of examples and step by step instructions, you will come through this book more confident and more satisfied with the outcome because you'll be in control.

4.0 out of 5 stars an enjoyable crime thriller, 3 May 2014

As usual, another great read from Kellerman. Well written, brought to life characters and a story of friendship between Lt Sturgis and Dr Delaware. Nothing is what it appears to be as the story of the lives of megastars and the ordinary folk entwine.

4.0 out of 5 stars a great page turner, 18 Feb 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The story starts where the first book in the series left off. Tom Gray waking recovering from his injuries. This is a well thought out story integrated with characters from the previous book. Despite promising myself I would go to bed at 11, I was still reading 2.5 hrs later. The story rips a long and you can't wait to read what happens next.

Michael Thomas is not a professional athlete. And Run: Beyond The 5K is so much the better for it. Michael's book is based on real world experiences, war stories and great advice. The book has some great training plans which take you simply and straightforwardly to the next level. This book is aimed at people who can run, but want to get better at it.

5.0 out of 5 stars another great read from Simon Kernick, 8 Feb 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Stay Alive (Kindle Edition)
I'm a big fan of Simon Kernick. He is a talented writer who blends action with human interest, in the way that you connect with the characters whilst racing from page to page. Kernick intermingles stories from earlier books to build on the drama and dare you to put the book down.

Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars a twist and a turn..., 5 Feb 2014

What appears to be an obvious and clever outcome for Ton Gray's fight for justice, suddenly twists, then twists again. A compelling page turner!
