5.0 out of 5 stars The Journey Ends, 9 Oct. 2009
Aw, the final installment. Great while it lasted. Poster is, to my mind, the weakest of the three (with FOTR's #1, TTT's #2) its still vastly superior to almost any other film poster of the decade and, when you put the 3 together, look even better. Arrived on time and in mint condition, no white border and exactly measures 69x102cm. Perfect. Too bad there wasn't a LOTR 4. Let's dig up Sauron! Hey, its Hollywood, if the rights lapse, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE. (Now that's scare-mongering!)

5.0 out of 5 stars The Journey Continues, 9 Oct. 2009
Arrived on time, in mint condition, and exactly 69x102cm, with no white band, just pure artwork beauty. The images are razor-sharp under close scrutiny and, well, looks great. Valuable movie memorabilia and, incidentally, a great film. Well worth it.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Journey Begins, 9 Oct. 2009
FOTR, the opening salvo of the LOTR trilogy, has - I think - the best of the three main movie posters of the series. The whole Fellowship (plus Galadriel, Arwen and the Nine Nazgul) are beautifully rendered, although the image of Aragorn is taken from his battle gear at Helm's Deep from The Two Towers. Minor (very minor) quibble. Great poster. Arrived on time, in mint condition, and exactly 69x102cm. No white border either. Just pure artwork glory.

5.0 out of 5 stars Evocative and Moody, 9 Oct. 2009
Arrived on time and in mint condition.
WARNING! - Whilst the size of the sheet is indeed 69x102cm, the actual artwork is slightly smaller as there is a (HIGHLY noticeable) white band that runs around the entire artwork and, I guess, just looking at it, measures bout an inch and a half. A black frame should cover this up quite nicely. The artwork is beautifully reproduced and is a fine poster. Worthy predecessor to The Dark Knight one and they look good together. Just the warning bout the white band is necessary.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Epitome of Cool, 9 Oct. 2009
The poster arrived on time and in mint condition. The detail is sharp and looks great mounted on the wall. The Dark Knight himself fairly looms out of it. Since it, like its predecessor, really were ensemble movies it would've been nice to have had ensemble posters (a la Star Wars or Lord of the Rings) but this does just fine. Measures approx 69cm by 102cm.

5.0 out of 5 stars Freakin' HILARIOUS, 22 Sept. 2009
Warning! This may cause you face to crack with laughter! The sequel to the first riotously funny special episode of Robot Chicken, this one features so many great skits and plenty more of the Fett and all the other bounty hunters. Just...just...GREAT!

5.0 out of 5 stars An astonishing performance, 22 Sept. 2009
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Chaplin [DVD] (DVD)
Let's face it - Iron Man WAS Robert Downey, Jr. and he was by far the best thing in Tropic Thunder. Downey, Jr. picks this movie up and walks off with it, delivering a simply mesmerizing performance as Charlie Chaplin, perfectly capturing his essence, a performance so flawless that you come to believe you are actually seeing Chaplin himself! Great supporting cast - Hopkins being the most notable - makes for a very fine biopic.

5.0 out of 5 stars Give Jango the respect he deserves, 22 Sept. 2009
Whilst Episode II was the least successful Star Wars movie, it still raked in hugh earnings though it remains the weakest of the six films (remove Jar Jar from Episode I and it's a solid start, remove the Ewoks from Episode VI and its a great finish) due to the lack of action from about the 20 minute mark after a poorly executed car chase (until the brilliant Obi-Wan/Jango face-off at about an hour in) and the huge weight placed on Hayden Christensen's shoulders in a performance that, well, isn't what it could have been. In fairness though, only Christian Bale or the late great Heath Ledger could have been able to pull that performance off, or a young Gary Oldman. Soppy love story for the most part, the story and action suffers, until the cracking arena battle, but then Jango is thrown away (partially literally)just like Maul at the end of Episode I! Anyway, the poster arrived in mint condition and can't wait to get it laminated, framed and up on my wall.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rise of Lord Vader, 22 Sept. 2009
The ominous shadow Vader casts over the other characters in this poster is nicely done and reflects the general mood of (probably) the darkest installment in the Star Wars saga. Whatever you say about the film - undoubtedly the best of the prequels, at least - this poster is great. Visually similar to the poster for Episode I and I guess that's fitting, as the prequel trilogy comes to a close. Poster arrived slightly before due date and in perfect condition.

5.0 out of 5 stars Probably the most influential movie of all time, 22 Sept. 2009
Arrived slightly after the due date but the wait was worth it. This is truly beautiful, the lamination process renders the poster looking better than ever, very flexible and durable, no wear and tear. Is the exact poster for the Special Edition of Episode IV. Measures 40" by 27" and, when added to Episodes V and VI, form a great tryptich as the character heads run Obi-Wan, Luke, Leia, Han, Vader, Palpatine, Chewie and Jabba, when you sync the three posters up. So freakin' pleased with these posters (got V and VI Special Edition ones at the same time). I remember being a bit surprised back in 1997 when the poster didn't have "A New Hope" on it instead of it's original title but no biggie, looks and is great.
