5.0 out of 5 stars I almost felt like I needed a quick 'dip' system for the benefit ..., 28 Aug 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The last decent set of bike lights I bought cost hundreds of pounds so I was sceptical of the description and claims for these ones for the price. I shouldn't have been! They are light and the battery pack is surprisingly small but they pack a real punch when you need it, although most of the time I only used them on the lowest setting. I almost felt like I needed a quick 'dip' system for the benefit of drivers coming the other way on the road.
I haven't yet really pushed the limits of the battery charge to see how long they will last and I think they could do with some sort of cable tidying system supplied with the kit, but I am impressed overall and feel that they represent excellent value for money. I'd recommend them.

5.0 out of 5 stars It does what it says, 16 Jun 2013

As you would expect from a respected manufacturer, this just does what it says. I didn't even need to format it before it worked perfectly in my new camera.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just a brilliant camera, 16 Jun 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I have to first of all admit that I am a fan of Canon but even taking this into account, what a brilliant little camera this is. Canon claims that it is the smallest DSLR in the world and this is what appealed to me. I was looking for an easy to carry anywhere solution after a failure with the EOS-M which is small and produces excellent pictures but the focus delay makes it too frustrating to use and this definitely meets the bill.
I have not yet tried all the functions and I look forward to fully trying the video, but it proved its worth on a walking holiday in Scotland providing excellent quality landscape, wildlife, and close-ups. Excellent colour quality, sharp results and enough pixels to be able to crop into some of the distant wildlife has led to some very pleasing photos that I would have been proud of with my 5D Mk II. Highly recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars Does what it says - but be warned., 9 May 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This device is sold on the basis that it can interrogate the ECU diagnostics and running data from your car. I've run it on a 2008 Alfa Romeo 159 and it does just what it says it will do. I particularly like the in-flight reports such as the Dyno screen showing power and torque across a pre-determined rev range. I have not had the chance to try out all the software but the main one that I've used so far seems to be comprehensive anyway.
I do have a couple of words of warning, though - the plug in unit is quite high profile and may not fit easily into every car. On the Alfa, having it plugged in stops the fuse-box cover from closing which means that it sits on the driver's legs making it dangerous for anyone trying out the in-flight diagnostics on the road. Secondly, my anti-virus software suggested that the keygen software was a trojan horse virus. I confess that I ignored it and went ahead anyway and don't seem to have suffered any issues as a result, but it's worth taking care if you experience the same sort of issues. Finally, I was unable to confirm that the software, which seems a few years old now, would be compatible with Windows going forward. It does seem to work with Windows 7 even though this is not listed as supported but who knows about other versions.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent solution to software upgrades, 6 Mar 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I always tend to keep up to date with new versions of the software I use, and I use that software on three different devices so it can be very expensive. Along comes Microsoft with this offering - as long as I pay the annual subscription which is not cripplingly expenses, I get extra features (I would never pay for Access but it's useful now I have it), "free" upgrades to the latest versions, and I can install it on up to five devices. I also get additional cloud storage on Skydrive so it feels like a win win situation! It goes without saying that the software suite is almost certainly the best available...

5.0 out of 5 stars Ideal present, 17 Jan 2013

This review is from: Classic Wooden Scrabble (Toy)
This was purchased as a gift for a couple of Scrabble addicts and has lived up to expectations. After considerable use, the board remains in good condition and all but one of the tiles retains the lettering. It turned out to be the perfect present for the recipients.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent value, 17 Jan 2013

This is an excellent value product which has't failed in its job. It may be a basic bit of kit but it does all I ask of it in a Canon S95.

3.0 out of 5 stars Does it add value, 17 Jan 2013

Maybe it's just that I haven't spent enough time with this product, but it doesn't really seem to do anything that the Windows Media software or something like PowerPoint can't already do. I bought it for a specific purpose, to support a presentation on underwater photography to a local photographic society but ended up abandoning it in favour of just using PowerPoint.
I can't say there's anything wrong with it, just that I don't see the point.

1.0 out of 5 stars Apparently not real, 17 Jan 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Adobe Photoshop CS5 (PC) (DVD-ROM)
Despite the assurances that this was official Adobe software, it was not. The packaging was not quite right but it installed and ran successfully. The crunch came when trying to upgrade to the next version with software purchased direct from Adobe which would not recognise it as being valid software. The only good thing was that I did receive a full refund, no questions asked so full marks for that part of the service.

1.0 out of 5 stars Won't install - waste of money, 17 Jan 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I looked forward to this upgrade but I am left completely let down and frustrated. I have tried to install on two separate, high-end (i7 based) machines, one a desktop and one a laptop and both running Windows 7. I cannot afford to lose any data or downloaded (paid for) software so I could not risk a clean install from scratch, but both installations failed after several hours of running and neither quite restored the pre-install state leaving me with some software issues. Even more frustrating is that it gives not even a hint as to what has gone wrong so there's no chance of fixing it. I now have completely useless software that can't be returned as it has been opened - a complete waste of money!
