4.0 out of 5 stars INTELLIGENT DESIGN CREATIONISM, 25 April 2007

This book is an excellent example of "Chariots of the Gods" and other speculations about the presence and/or influence of ETs in the history and developments of our planet -- except for the fact it clearly contains statements that squarely put it in the realm of Biblical Creationism. Not I, but a pro-ID Creationist reviewer (A Review of Science and Evidence for Design in the Universe By Zach Stearns June 27, 2005) states:

"Finally, a short essay penned by both Meyer and Dembski concludes the compilation; this piece simply argues that the Christian doctrine of divine Creation may be the most causally adequate explanation of the Big Bang. It is not proving that the Big Bang implies a supernatural creator, as some critics suggest; the authors merely assert that it is the best explanation given the knowledge we have and the opposing, naturalist possibilities."

However they try to disguise it, IDC is not science but the efforts of individuals with questionable motives to sustain the ancient fables-based concept that superior, extraterrestrial intelligence(s) were responsible for our existence and the existence of the entire Cosmos.

Heraclitus of Ephesus refuted them some 2600 years ago when he wrote that the Cosmos was created by no man or god but it forever was, is now, and forever will be an "Everliving Fire".

Which is also what the late great Carl Sagan expressed when he wrote:

"The Cosmos is all that is, or ever was, or ever will be."

It is a process through which all things flow and evolve, are constantly formed and transformed, from clusters of galactic superclusters to planets and molecules, as well as intelligent beings which do not create, but are created by the process.
