One of the best books about an ordinary man in an extraordinary war. Robert Mason has a way of writing which can bring home the intensity, horror, fear, compassion and humour of combat in a very real but readable way. I read this when it was first published and it was brilliant. I have just bought it again and re read it and it hasn't aged. It is still a brilliant book by a fantastic author.

A good read. Even the sections of things you aren't really interested in are worth reading. James May has a very relaxed writing style which makes his work very readable and this is a book you can pick up and put down whenever you have a spare moment. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

This is,without doubt, one of the best researched and written books about the depression era criminals I have read. Not only is it very well written, it is also very readable and very enjoyable. I love the film, but the book it so much better as it covers a whole lot more and in a lot more detail. If you have a long standing interest in Dillinger, Karpis and the depression era crime wave and how the " war on crime" started the FBI and J Edgar Hoover's long term influence, this is a great book. If you just want to know more about the characters and players in the film " Public Enemies" then this is just a "must read" book. Couldn't recommend it highly enough.

This is a first class book about one of the most controversial incidents of the Falklands campaign. I found it informative and very, very readable and was amazed at exactly what went on prior to the sinking of the Belgrano. If you have an interest in the Falklands, military history in general or the Royal Navy submarine service in particular, I would highly recommend this book.
