Yes, I found the whole concept of the book a bit silly and not all that interesting either. Never mind pick another book.

The story is not all that bad but there is a modicum of bad grammar and dodgy science. Don't think I will be buying the next one.

4.0 out of 5 stars At last, 29 July 2014

At last I have found a free kindle book that's good. Interesting story that's reasonably well written although the language does descend into American media speak near the end. Took many massive and focuses to be good English. However I will purchase the next in series which is best recommendation I can give.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good story, 21 July 2014

This is a pretty good novel. However the characterisation is rather poor and the idea of advanced galaxy travelling societies being religious I find ridiculous. Nevertheless worth reading.

3.0 out of 5 stars Characterless, 14 July 2014

Yes, the author clearly knows all about the military facts of the time but his story telling and characterisation are poor. His knowledge of the language spoken at the time is also poor. Nobody would have used going forward meaning in future in the eighties especially the British prime minister.

3.0 out of 5 stars Bad grammar, 8 Jun 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Crash (Book One) (Kindle Edition)
Yes the story is fairly engrossing but I am afraid the author needs to go back to school to learn some basic grammar. He has not learned his tenses. He uses past tense when he means past or present continuous. You cannot start a sentence with stood or sat.
Not bad otherwise.

Started off well. Got silly in the middle. Ended up in ridiculous kick a as and religious nonsense. " someone made the earth and human race. But if humanity does not prove itself worthy ". I cannot believe anyone could write such tat.

The story started off well but ended up as the island of doctor Norway. Kindle keeps changing it to Norway. Why go any further with this review???

The prose is littered with Americanisms and bad grammar the author has obviously never been taught the difference between the preferred and past continuous tense ie he now was stood for goodness sake. This would be bad enough if the story was exciting but I am afraid not it is rather silly and plodding and pedantic. Looking at the authors cv or resume as he would probably say I think he should probably stick to his music.
