I have read all of Mr childs books and amazingly into his eleventh Reacher novel and the guy never ever disappoints. If you have enjoyed his previous books, then don't think twice, just buy the novel and forget about sleep !

I do not understand how reviewers can be disappointed with this book. The photos are just quite outstanding and the price is ridiculous. Excellent value for money coupled with some of the best photography i have seen in years. If you are an animal lover then this a is a book for you.

I am always weary of trying out new authors, but this guy is up there with Patterson and Connelly !

Fast paced and plenty of action, he had me guessing up to the final pages. Just not another standard thriller. i highly recommend this guy and can't wait for more !

A first rate novel that i found impossible to put down. Easily as good as his first novel. A loveable detective, a first class story and a nice clean ending. What more can you ask for?

Keep em coming Mr.Macbride !

2.0 out of 5 stars A good thriller with a bad ending, 10 Jun 2006

This review is from: Blood Eagle (Paperback)
I have never given a negative review on any boook in Amazon, but sadly i have to here. The story takes place in Germany which makes it difficult to get into. However with patience i really started enjoying this book as the plot was first rate. It moved at a great pace and i really got into the characters expecailly detective Fabel.

However what ruined the story was the ending as it just stopped in mid-air. Yes we found out who the killer is, yes we found the motive, but the author failed to tie the pieces up and just left us standing there.

Very very didappointed !

5.0 out of 5 stars ANOTHER CRACKER FROM THE MASTER OF THE MEDICAL THRILLER, 23 April 2006

This review is from: Vanish (Hardcover)
I find it amazing that Tess Gerritsen can still come up with the goods after writing so many fine novels.

Add terrorism, Detective Jane Rizzoli and Maura Isles our medical examiner and she really can't go wrong.

If you have enjoyed her previous novels, then you surely will enjoy this one.

Keep em coming Tess!

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great thriller from a master storyteller, 17 April 2006
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The third in the Dan Shepard series, and in my mind the author just keeps getting better. His earlier books tended to start off slowly. With spider as our hero is known, the pace is non-stop and i finished off the book in three days.

If you want a fast-paced thriller, then you wont be disappointed.

I can recommend any of his books without any hesitation.

I bought this book on An Amazon recommendation.
This guy is up there with Val mcdermid, Lynda La Plante, Lee Child and James Patterson.
A really first class thriller. I could not put it down. A new copper, his boss and a woman pc in the background. Add a serial killer and you have the ingredients for a great thriller.
I eagerly await his new novel "Dying light."
Keep em coming Mr Macbride !!!

Dead Simple
Dead Simple
by Peter James
Edition: Paperback

5.0 out of 5 stars A first rate detective novel, 9 Feb 2006
This review is from: Dead Simple (Paperback)
I picked up this book on a whim and i could not put it down for a second ! This is my first Peter James novel and it certainly wont be my last. A real lovely detective called Roy Grace and an excellent plot that moves along at break-neck speed. My only complaint was the authors delving into the world of mediums which has never been my forte.
Bottom line is if you want a good old fashoined detective novel, then Dead Simple comes up with the goods.
Am waiting in anticipation for my next order from Amazon with more of this guys books.

3.0 out of 5 stars expecting more, 27 Dec 2005
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Dead Run (Hardcover)
I am loathe to give negative reviews on any book, but feel i had no option here as i have read all of the P.J Tracy novels. Dead Run was far too slow for me, and even boring in places.I felt it just dragged on and on and when i finally finished the book i was pleased to come to the end of it. Her two previous books were really great and i was expecting more. Hopefully her fourth novel out in August 2006 will be up to the standards of her other novels
