I have always loved Depeche Mode, but did not get the same feeling from SOTU as I did from this release. Some old sounds have certainly returned and the songs are fantastic.

We have been spoilt for 8 series and if this one was the first people would be raving about it.

It is another set of solid performances with lots of moments of comedy gold throughout!

5.0 out of 5 stars A brilliant all round bag., 14 Nov 2012

This bag was bought for university as I have a laptop and papers to take with me every day as well as lunch!

The bag meets very good standards in terms of comfort and design and has ample room in the 2 compartments and various pockets.

The laptop (15.6") fits snugly inside the pouch and is well padded and protected from the elements and bashes with the floor.

I would recommend this bag for students as after walking with a heavy bag it does not hurt the shoulders or back as both are padded for comfort.

Excellent value too!

It really is an essential album for anyone thinking of listening to The Cure. The start of their peak recording material over the following 6 or 7 years. A brilliant, vibrant piece well though of by Smith and co. Love it!

5.0 out of 5 stars A masterpiece...., 21 May 2010

What do you need to say about this album?

Absolutely influencial since its inception. Curefans and music fans alike find the album one of the greatest of the last 25 years, if not, ever. It is simply magical from the chimes of Plainsong to the last note of Untitled.

The album means a lot to so many. It has the classic singles of Lullaby, Lovesong and Pictures of You and the depressing anthems mixed in such as The Same Deep Water As You.

The 1989 lineup of the band were at their creative best and Robert at his lyrical best.

I wish I could give it more than 5 stars...

5.0 out of 5 stars Exactly that, a dream., 11 Jan 2010

I love this album.
How anyone can sustain creative ability for 30+ years in this industry where names change quicker than your socks amazes me.
The Cure are simple amazing and this album is an upbeat reminded of their genius. The Only One is the perfect cure single with its "Wish" sounding guitars with the return of Porl Thompson! They show they can still create classics and tunes worthy of being in anybodys dreams!
Underneath the Stars is simply breathtaking and give sme shivers each tiem I listen to it.
I await the dark album half of this masterpiece.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Cure thats for sure!, 11 Jan 2010
This review is from: The Cure Greatest Hits (Audio CD)
Look, you cannot say this is what The Cure is all about 100%, merely the commercial side of the group that spans multiple genres. This album is exactly what any radio friendly fan should want and a great collection of the most popular singles. They are the greatest band of all time and this portrays the singles and pop tunes which everybody knows. This is the stepping stone for any budding cure fan!
Excellent tunes.
