5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely fantastic, a must have game!, 13 Mar 2014
Have to admit, as many other people have been in the same position, i was not holding high hopes for this game. However since i love south park, thought might as well give it a shot. The best decision of 2014!!

This game is incredibly detailed, you can tell a lot of care, time and effort has been taken in developing this game.
The jokes are typical south park jokes - stupidly funny and ridiculous.
The characters are exactly like they are in the show.
The story is out of proportionally stupid and ridiculous (in a good way) again a typical day in south park
The game is fairly long if you include all the side quests and try to get all the collectibles.
Lots of areas to explore and maps are quite big.

Not all the abilities and dynamics of the game are explained very well, if at all. I had to search online for help a couple of times.
The story does kinda end abruptly which is a shape, it would have been nice to have a decent length ending.
All items in the game seem to be in the exact same location for everyone, limiting the replay ability.

It is a game which has a lot of potential for DLC, if the same level of effort and care to detail is put for future DLC as it was for the main game, then this game could definitely become more like a season than just a one off.

To truly understand and fully enjoy the game you must watch south park. There was one part where i needed my buddy to perform an action...the clue was ' get someone who has water'. The solution was Stan with his dog sparky to use his pee...So the solution was not very clear but i only knew this because of a reference to episodes (milking the dog episode in season 5...though that wasn't pee)

Overall this game is fantastic and is worth playing. We hope it will be developed in the future but for now its a nice one big jumbo story which satisfies any south park fan.

3.0 out of 5 stars Potential but just lazy ubisoft, 30 Oct 2013
= Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
Firstly i really dislike ALL of the assassins creed games, i just find them very boring and very reliant on button mashing in combat. However when it came down to black flag, i was quite amazed by the amount of stuff you can do in it and thought i would give it ago. I have played Assassins creed 1 and 2, that is where the dislike grew from. I never tried 3 so i can not say anything about that one.

This game is a good game and i recommend playing it if you can HOWEVER Ubisoft have not done enough quality control in my opinion.

Firstly, when taking on forts, there are parts of the fort too high for you to physically hit unless you have a mortar. Making it impossible to complete a fort take over unless you have a stupidly high amount of mortar ammunition.

Your character suffers from stupidity and stickiness. What i mean by that is when you are running around, he wants to grab onto everything. I think ubisoft should have had the run button and the free-run button separated. That way at least you could choose to run when you want to and free run when you want to. Instead of having to free run just to get anywhere.

Thirdly, the ship dynamics is terrible. It has a lot of potential, but it is too stuff to control. I understand that it is trying to be realistic but when the AI turns in a tight turning circle, you expect you can do the same. Unfortunately you can not.

Another thing is that when you are boarding enemy ships, the waves commonly drift the ships apart and if you fall in the water you can not catch up with the ships. This i believe is a bug. Either leave the stupid wave dynamics out (which cause your ships to drift) or have them in, but have the boarding sequence static.

Assassinations are buggy as hell, they sometimes work flawlessly which makes for a nice cinematic style take-down, but usually it just automatically causes you to use combat moves instead of assassination moves. Also during sneak missions (there is alot of sneaking involved) you can not crouch...the only time you can crouch is if you are inside a bush or haystack.

In general your level of character control freedom is very very low, you do not get to control your character alot, it is basically all automatically done by having the R1 button pushed 24/7 and/or Square button aswell as R1. This was a huge problem with Assassins creed 1 and as bad as assassins creed 2. I thought due to the involvement of guns and freedom to switch between land water and so on they would include more character control freedom...Unfortunately not.

The game is good dont get me wrong, but its too limiting and frustratingly buggy. You will fail missions or die not because of bad skill but because your character will try to climb a wall on the left when you are running along in a straight line, despite not directing your character left.

When initiating combat you character will NOT attack, you have to stop, turn your camera and wait for the pop up commands. This aspect of the game is utter pile of S@t. You can not run and attack you have to physically come to a completely stop, aim the camera and wait until the pop up comes. You can run and assassinate people if they havent spotted you...but if they have spotted you, you can not do a single thing, you can not even do a standard attack OR block (counter) you have to...i say again. STOP swivel your camera and wait for the pop ups. This is the worst aspect of the game which crucially is the core aspect of it too.

Shame, had huge potential.

4.0 out of 5 stars Huge step forward...but also a few steps back., 22 Sep 2013
= Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
GTA 5 is certainly an interesting game, it has taken many leaps when it comes to games design. Ovbiously is the large size of the open world. It is huge and it is immensely details which is fantastic. The missions are varied and entertaining and the character development is far better than that of some blockbuster avatar - who cares for the blue one since you never got to know them much. My point is that the skin of the game has been tattooed to hell to bronze look like gold. However, and this is where for me the game just lets you down:

1. Cars, planes and boats have a slower feeling to them, whether that is true i honestly don't know, just when you are racing down the street at full speed it feels like a bus. When you are wizzing around the air or even taking off on the runway it feels like you are going no faster than a normal car.

2. The combat system is terrible - Rockstar did say they would try to take the auto-aim system out of it...and i agree GTA4 was just a lock on and fill with lead, BUT if you are going to do that don't make the AI auto-aim you...before you can aim on a guy 90% of your health is already gone. Not to mention that the AI move around like grasshoppers. Again it would be perfectly fine if the AI did not hit you 100% of the time.

3. movement - this is a general problem with GTA games but for me it feels it has no improved over GTA4. The characters feels like they have concrete for shoes and they always always get clipped with the scenery around them. ESPECIALLY if you are trying to navigate through doors and very tight spaces.

4. THE POLICE SYSTEM IS TERRIBLE!! I personally think they nailed it in GTA4 however they went and changed it again, this time it is a 3 teir system. Firstly you have to escape the scene of the crime (which is never you just run/drive/swim/fly as fast as you can in a single direction) Then you have to escape the sight of the cops. Thirdly you have to avoid their line of sights once you have escaped their line of sight for the 1st time. (it turns into a metal gear solid 2 style game then. The major problem is that to do this (even on 1 star) it takes nearly 30-60seconds to evade cops (this is at high speed) which believe it or not means you will have driven around 33% of the map...very frustrating if you have to go back to the center of it all.

5. Flying...GTA San Andreas nailed flying in my opinion, yeah ok it was not that realistic but its a game! Here even if you have the BEST POSSIBLE flying skill you seem to run into turbulence every second (turbulence makes your plane wobble to the point where it changes direction). The turbulence isn't so bad on planes but on helicopters it feels like trying to fly loose water (i.e. it goes absolutely everywhere!) Helicopters are horrible to fly in this game unlike ALL of their predecessors.

6. Car accidents - you have 1 single accident and your car is unusable, now yeah ok that is realistic blah blah blah...but its a game and when you are trying to escape the plough into one car or a fence...and then you have to ditch your car it makes escaping the police 100% impossible without having to shoot the ones chasing you (because they will kill you in a few shots and since you are on foot you have to defend yourself somehow) this just increases the wanted level and you are back to square one.

So there are my main criticisms about the game. 1.driving feel, 2. combat system (i really really hate it), 3. movements 4. police evasion system.

After that there are small things like no fuel tank caps on the you no longer can shoot a car and it will be a guaranteed explosion (granted in real life this does not happen but its a game) but i would ignore those that's just being picky.

Everything else about the game seems near perfect and i highly recommend people to buy it despite the massive problems i have listed above it is still worth the experience once at least.

The way they integrate the characters and develop them is fantastic and a true masterpiece of script writing. Some of the characters are a little bit OTT (over the top) but it happens in most games and films.

The below is just for those who are new to GTA and are unused to the language and scenes in Rockstar games.
There are some scenes where it is strongly advised not to let young people (definitely not under 16) to see because even for raised my eyebrows and i muttered the words 'Rockstar have certainly pushed it this time' however if you are very familiar with the previous games this one only ever so slightly raises the bar in terms of 'bad' content. Oh and the swearing is nearly every 2nd word in all sentences with a few characters so don't have the volume too high.

Finally the product. I paid just over 85 for this and yeah maybe it isnt value for money in terms of material you get, HOWEVER because iam a huge fan of GTA and Rockstar i didnt mind paying the price tag at all. You get a key and chain, hat (quite good quality, have to be honest) and a small bag (probably usefull for carying your toiletries such as a shaver (its that kinda size). Ontop of that you get some DLC and a lithography map of the playable map which is really nice you also get a 2nd map in the game. Finally the game comes in a metalic case with some artwork of the main characters.

All in All its a very very good game but some of the stuff like combat, flying and other stuff which they nailed in previous games has kinda gone down hill a little in this one. Asides from that it is a near perfect game.

3/5 for the fun (because the combat and police evasion plays a HUGE part and you can get quite miffed by it especially the combat.
4/5 because overall its a near perfect game but looses one start for the aforementioned problems.

Brybelly 500 ct Monte Carlo 14 gram Poker Chip Set
Brybelly 500 ct Monte Carlo 14 gram Poker Chip Set

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic chips, 17 April 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The case is weak for the amount of chips and their combined weight, but the case is cheap. When I purchased this I immediately bought an oak 500 pc chip case. The chips are heavy and solid, next to no defections ( there was 1 out of the entire 500 piece set). These chips are American chips and can only be purchased through American sites like or internationally through sites like eBay. Therefore shipping is expensive (was double the price for extra chips when I bought some). The sticker on the front is not paper but a thin plastic with adhesive to stick onto the chip, makes it very durable. Also the stickers have a smooth finish on them, so your hand glides over them. The stickers are plane but have a slight bling to them which makes the chips look really attractive compared to the other ones you can get. Monte Carlo (the name of these chips, manufacturers are a Chinese company) do a European version of chips which are extremely nice. I have both sets and I can't decide which is best. I strongly recommend you buy both if possible. These chips come in more denominations so low stakes and high stakes games can both be played with these chips. 1,5,10,25,50,100,500,1000,5000,10000.

Highly recommend you buy this fantastic set. You might want to buy some extra chips as only 1,5,25,100,500,1000 chips are given. The inclusion of 10 and 50 would have been prefered but oh well.

4.0 out of 5 stars Is good entertainment however worthy of only one viewing., 26 July 2010
BSG: The Plan is all about the cylons perspective of the human:cylon conflict, and the film does give that. However this film gives the views more of a season summary rather than a whole new view on things. Throughtout the film the scenes will be jumping from caprica to galactica around 20-30 times, each scene will be a brief series episode summary...depicting what important events occured in that episode.

Not much can be said about this film to be honest, as the only thing the cylons want to do is exterminate humanity...pretty hard stretching that aim over 1 hours 30minutes. I have to say though, this film was the first time EVER that i saw a child being killed. Yeah a few films try to tell the viewers that a child died but here, you actually see the child physcially die. I thought that was slightly over the top, considering the entire film keeps having the 'priest' (the so called leader of the cylons') curse humanity and think up brutal methods of commiting genocide.

Another thing which was bad was that this film only covers the first season of BSG, anything after the point where the priest is shoved out of an airlock is not shown. Nothing of what the cylons planned/did in the other series was included especially the cylons hope of living peacefully with humanity in season 2-3.

Overall i say that this film is worth the watch, however it is not worth buying. You get no acting from any of the main BSG character as its all taken from the series. Only the cylon characters have 'new scenes'.

1.0 out of 5 stars Never buy a game developed by DICE!, 8 April 2010
= Fun:2.0 out of 5 stars
I found that the ONLY good Battlefield game out there is Battlefield 2, and that does have some issues in itself.
Dice have released 3x Battlefield 2 expansion, Bad Company, Bad Company 2, Battlefield 2142 and Battlefield Modern Combat (though its the console version of Battlefield 2, all in the space of 5 years. Most developers try to release a game a year, however not change a thing.

First of all, many other reviews i wasnt expecting one, and it was a bonus...turns out it is extremely rushed and poorly programed. The gameplay of the single player is like cats scratching your eyeballs move 10m, cutscene, you move another 10m, another cutscene...3rd 10m, 3rd cutscene. The story isnt even told...its like a darn anagram...turns out the entire 15 missions are about this EMP weapon which soviet russia are trying to create based on a WW2 weapon which the japanese made. EMP's cant even move matter since its static game the 'blast' causes a 50ft tsunami..comon, bullplop.

The sound system does not work at all, you can hear birds churping like they are bomb explosions yet the voices of the characters are like mice. This is the first...and so far only game i have ever played where the sounds were mucked up.

Multiplayer...this is where the fun ends. Jittery, juttery, stuttery, not fluid gameplay at all. Joining the server maybe a problem, that occurs in all games, not really bothered about it as long as you can play often. Losing connection whilst on a server is common...and its not to do with punkbuster or my internet.

Bugs galor, the maps are not properly tested there are many movement related bugs, where you jump, and your character will get stuck on a short wall of sandbags. Knifing is like someone diving to take a bullet. You can charge an enemy whilst being shot and kill him with a knife, never mind that you just took a clip of bullets into your head.

Game ends with a snap of the fingures, and the sounds and pictures are almost completely unrelated to the combat. E.g. you have the supposed 'ingame' music, then it will immidiately swith to a 'dur dur dum' type of dramatic music as something explodes showing the end of the game...pointless and shows lack of effort. Another thing about the end of round scenes...commonly you will revert back to your FPS view of your character (unable to move ofcourse) and then you get this ending music whilst since in the view of your character, not the ending movie.

Overal Game sound...i suppose DICE have not heard of music...considering the fact that they had good soundtracks for Battlefield 2...the sound track of Bad company 2 is basically...few drums, and people (probably people who work in the office for DICE) saying stuff like, 'we have a target at x,y,z...'ovbiously people dont know what they are looking at' and my altime personal favourite 'firing' thats it...there is no music at all, just in-game shallow instramental stuff. There maybe a few tracks in the campaign, but it was so terrible, i stopped playing after 3 missions...supposedly there are 15.

In conclusion, this is the worst game DICE have released to date...and only because they are money grabbing little (place some swear words here), who are being slapped around by EA...another terrible horrible games company which is control of too much. Few decent games are actually published by EA.

My advice is GO TO BATTLEFIELD 2, before even considering buying this game, and if your really curious, try it out round a friends house, though if they had any common sense, they would not buy this game.

AVOID ALL DICE GAMES AFTER BATTLEFIELD 2...they dont have the passion for games, only the passion for money...and your falling for it, as did i. Worst mistake i ever made.

I maybe laying a little bit to hard into DICE, but their continuous releases of crap games are really annoying, and as much as i HATE to say it...Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is better...and thats saying something considering the PC version has NO dedicated servers and no admins or any form of control over the games you participate and play!!! (Modern Warfare 1 remains the best game for multiplayer FPS, in my opinion...oh and Team Fortress 2...cant beat that whacky comedic stuff)

I gave the game 2 stars for fun because at the end of the day you can blow stuff up and cause mass online murder which can be entertaining for short periods of time...however as quality goes this game scores 0 and overall i would go 0 but amazon insist i give it 1 star...poor poor amazon.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Series, 6 May 2009
I never bought THIS particular product, i only bought all 5 series induvidually (as they became avaliable).

Boston Legal one of a kind show, it is incredibly funny (not all the time, since there are some episodes where its more serious than fun and games) and yet still very informative. Yes it maybe a show and that the facts used my not be true, but some episodes do depict some of the major problems we have in society.

James Spader's performance is amazing, i bet you could run a whole show with just him staring...well Boston Legal is like that already!!

William Shatner's performance is sometimes a bit of a let down, only because he is always playing the prat, though there are times when you really feel attached to him.

The other cast members (too many to list) also contribute to the show, especially Clanence (season 3-4) and Jerry (season 3-5).

This is a comady where you have to listern in order to understand, especially some of the gags in there. Alan Shore's (James Spader) jokes are rather sophisticated at times and take a few viewings to truely understand and laugh at them.

I advise that whoever buys this boxset (and i say it is a must have) to watch series 2 first!! NOT series 1. It doesnt matter anyway because the two series do not link with eachother that much and Series 1 DOES NOT introduce Crane, Poole and Schmit and just goes straight into an episode.

Alan Shore appears in another series called The Practice (by same producer David E Kelly) and i assume there are some links between that series and Boston Legal. So i suggest people, after watching Boston Legal, that they research a little about The Practice and maybe even buy it.

Iam sad to find that Boston Legal has come to an end however i think its for the best since if the show ran out of new ideas it would become dull.

Overall 5 stars, I love James Spaders performance I love Boston Legal!

If you want a taster then buy Series 2 or series 1 just to see what its like.

*NOTE* Series 4 maybe slightly dull by comparison to other series due to the fact that the series was produced during the Hollywood writers strike (or whatever it was called) so the shows are not that sophisticaed. HOWEVER i am not saying they are bad, just not fantastic when compared to series 2.
Also this is my view of Boston Legal, SO BUY IT since you will never know what you think until you watch it.

This game has supurb potential, and with modders being part of the actual development team, they really thought about the public. However with that in mind i believe that they forgot how to start the game. With in the first 5 minutes of the game you can do almost anything, explore the entire universe, fight and defend in massive battles, but there is no tutorial for the controls, there is no guide to lean where you are and what is the best place, there is nothing for the beginers to X3TC or the X3 universe in general. I find it extremely hard just getting 100,000 credits (the game's currency)when it costs over 69 million to buy a ship (yes this is the most expensive ship, but still it would be nice to make at least 500,000 or 1 million credits within 4 hours of gameplay) and the missions which become avaliable are no where near easy for you, they expect you to have those 69 million credit priced ships. Basically the game has nothing to support the beginers and that in order to get far in the game you need to have some serious...serious spare time.

Apart from that small moan i think the game it self is great so 4/5. and 5.5 for is fun especially when you can control armies of 1000+ (you need a super computer for that though) and the recomended pc specs in order to attempt anything like a massive battle (at least 500 ships per side on one screen) are listed below.

Suggested computers ( anything which has duel core or more with 2gb ram and 512mb nvidia 8800

Recommended computers (Mac 8-core (8x 3.0ghz intel xeons) with 3gb ram and either 512mb gt 8800 or higher or any 1gp graphics cards)

Honestly i thought this game would be great, comparing it to the first mercenaries and how the gaming world has improved BUT this game is a major let down. Let me start with basics literally. The tutorial...if you could classify it as a tutorial is a load of symbols appearing on the left hand side of the screen...they are not key letters, numbers or arrows, they are actual picture on earth are you meant to know what key that symbols represents without pressing each key on your keyboard!

Some symbols are fairly common, like a fist for a melee attack, but what does a boot with arrows underneth it mean! Up, down, sprint, melee, crouch? No none of them, infact it means a completely new key...something i had to test by spending 20 minutes...yes 20 minutes doing this hijacking process of a tank just to press each and every 50+ keys.

IF you want to play this game BUY THE GUIDE FIRST at least you will understand the controls, otherwise you will be wasting time...lots of time.

On another note, the graphics are poor, personally i do not care about graphic quality these days. The 'movie' sequences are not properly made, the sound and actions are out of sync.

I gave this game 2 stars for fun because the driving is nice. Other than that rubbish rubbish rubbish and rubbish.

The first Metal Gear game was released around 20 years ago, back then it had real plot. Today it tells us the missions Big Boss (father of Solid Snake)went on, and how he turned against the world.

With 20 years of hard work and effort put into the plot of Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear, this finale will surly give everyone who plays the game an exploding head, so many questions have not been answered thanks to the exceptional story telling and game creators Kojima. This game is promised by Kojima that it will answer all questions with a blast. A game, i think not this will be more of a movie than a game. Sit back and enjoy. Watch Snake, Meryl, Para-medic, octacon, ocelot,Eva (Big mumma) Liquid Snake (in ocelot), praying mantis (from msg1)and Roy Campbell finish the story. Iam sure ive missed a few characters.
Visit the Kojima website to find out about the Metal Gear Solid timeline and see that every game (with Metal Gear in its name) have a purpose in Metal Gear Solid 4.
