Touching and thoughtful childhood story, 13 Nov 2003
When I first started reading this book, I was a little surprised that it was actually a cartoon. However, the story of the little girl's childhood has a lot of adult themes, as you may imagine with a little girl growing up in Iran. The story is touching and thoughtful. The little girl is intelligent and seems the external world in a simple way, yet she is confused and disturbed about what is happening around here. It's easy to read and you will recommend it to your friends.
