Ultrasport Kids Skateboard/ Landski - Yellow
Ultrasport Kids Skateboard/ Landski - Yellow
Price: £45.96

5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy and Fun, 2 Mar. 2015
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This is a clever piece of kit that ought to appeal to many young people aged from about ten upwards. It's very well-made, very strong, and the design is ingenious. Measuring about 32 inches by 9.8 inches, the springy rollers help to simulate surfing and sliding without the need for the sea or the snow. Much more versatile than a conventional skateboard, it encourages invention and imagination as the player rolls and swerves and bends the board. I've let our youngest child play with it and he loves it. It's pricey but you can see the quality in the build of the thing. It's excellent.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very effective, 2 Mar. 2015
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This is a neat little thing that does a very good job. It's very easy to use, and the size of the trimmer allows you to be precise as well as fast, and the trimming comb provides you with even greater control. I tried it both wet and dry, and it worked just as well either way, so it's a really convenient and functional tool to have. Powered by one AA battery, it is quite light (about the same weight as an electric toothbrush) and fairly quiet, too.

Gillette Fusion ProGlide Manual Razor Starter Kit with Flexball Technology--Pack of 1

4.0 out of 5 stars Smooth and effective, 24 Feb. 2015
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
My search for the perfect shaver will probably never stop. I tend to find one that promises much, and then, after a few months, it ceases to be so effective. Maybe it gets used to my skin, or maybe I start to notice what it doesn't do so well (and also start to resent the price one is obliged to pay for new blades!), but it always ends the same way - with me rubbing my face and feeling like I've not had a closer enough shave.

My latest choice is the Gillette Fusion Proglide, and, fingers crossed, the 'honeymoon period' continues. It boasts five extra-thin blades, for less 'tug and pull,' and a precision trimmer on the back for shaping and smartening the edges, but the main attraction is the 'flexball' that allows the blades to move and angle themselves to your face as you shave. This is not unique in itself, of course, but the design is better than on many other shavers (with a more subtle, natural feel than the more conventional 'slalom' and 'swivel'-style types provide), and personally I really like it. It feels very smooth and comfortable, and helps one get a much more even and close shave than with more rigid and cruder models. So far, so good!

Revlon PhotoReady Eye Primer and Brightener - 2.4 ml
Revlon PhotoReady Eye Primer and Brightener - 2.4 ml
Price: £6.99

3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing, 1 Feb. 2015
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This isn't bad as an eye primer. It holds eye shadow quite well, keeps the skin smooth, and makes colours more vibrant. It's less satisfactory when used under the eyes as a brightener, however, as it dries the skin too much and has a tendency to look 'cakey'. I'm also not keen on the turning method to apply it, which is much more fiddly than the usual method.

4.0 out of 5 stars One of the better fans of this type and price range, 29 Jan. 2015
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Finding a small, portable and reliable fan heater can be a taxing, and sometimes exasperating, task. I bought and either returned or threw out no fewer than four similar ones last winter, after they either stopped heating after a mere few days or kept heating without the thermostat working. They really can be the most frustrating items to buy, because most of them look the same, at about the same price and power. It was therefore with a degree of scepticism that I approached this Igenix Upright/Flat Fan, but, so far, I've been rather impressed. It's a basic little heater, but that's what one needs if one wants to heat a kitchen or small office or some other area of a similar size, and it does its job fairy quietly, quickly and well. It has two heat settings - 1000 and 2000 watts - an indicator light and a cool air function for use in the summer. The other features include an adjustable thermostat control (very useful) and overheat protection. It will fit in all kinds of discreet little places: it measures approximately nine and a half in width by about ten inches in height by just under five inches in depth, and the power cord is about five feet ten inches. It also has integrated carry handles. Coming with a 2-year guarantee, I'd recommend this as nicely-priced little heater.

Igenix Cordless Jug Kettle, 1.7 Litre, 2200 Watt, Black
Igenix Cordless Jug Kettle, 1.7 Litre, 2200 Watt, Black
Price: £13.97

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good for the price, 29 Jan. 2015
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Igenix is a new-ish company - launched in 2001- that specialises in kitchen electrical appliances, such as fridges, heaters, mixers, microwaves, bread makers, toasters and kettles. This 1.7 litre kettle is typical of its range: functional, nicely made and competitively priced. Its features include:

Safety locking lid
Auto switch off on boil
Boil dry protection
Water level window
Removable washable filter
Immersed element
Cord Storage
On/off switch with indicator light
2 Year guarantee

It looks very nice: a smart black finish. It boils quietly and fairly quickly. Maybe some people would prefer a bigger kettle, built to last a few years longer, but if you're looking for a basic, low-priced model that will look good and work well, this is to be recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gorgeous, 26 Jan. 2015
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This is really superior lip balm. Smooth to apply, with a slight pink tint, it feels so nice. It does what any good lip balm should do, protecting the lips from the cold and the wind, and it also looks subtle but stylish. At this price it's a fantastic item to have.

4.0 out of 5 stars Simple and smart, 25 Jan. 2015
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This is my first manual microwave, and I think I prefer it. It's as simple as one can get: there is no digital display, and no buttons, just two dials- the top one for power, the lower one for time. So all you do is select the power (from 1 to a full 800w power of 5), choose the time (up to 35 minutes), and it starts. There is a light to show the food or drink revolving, and a little beep to signal when the cooking time has finished. That's it.

As with most microwaves, it's quite heavy when it arrives in all its packaging, but, once unwrapped, can still be lifted up and positioned without too much effort. It measures approximately 17 inches wide by 10 and a half inches high by just over 13 inches deep, with a capacity of 20 litres.

The main appeal is the simplicity of the process: I would imagine that this would be especially welcome for an elderly person who doesn't want to be dazzled by all the bells and whistles of the flashy automatics, but I must say I really like this aspect myself. For a well-made, no nonsense, microwave, it's very impressive.

Tacwise 50mm Brad Nailer. Air Nail Gun. DGN50V
Tacwise 50mm Brad Nailer. Air Nail Gun. DGN50V
Offered by garyrip
Price: £64.99

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent performance, 22 Jan. 2015
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This mid-priced compressor-powered nail gun is an impressive device. Coming in a smart and sturdy hard plastic carrying case, the basic proportions and qualities are as follows:
Length: 254mm
Width: 54mm
Depth: 242mm
Weight: 1.4kg
Load capacity nails: 100
PSI: 70-120
Max dBA sound/noise level (on surface impact): 95

It's very easy to use. Loading the nails is very straightforward. You do need a compressor, but once connected you're ready to use it. I found it very effective on wood, plaster and even brick. This makes DIY much easier and more precise. An excellent tool to have.
