LG W2486L 24-inch Wide LED LCD TFT Monitor (Gloss Black, 2ms, HDMI x 2)
LG W2486L 24-inch Wide LED LCD TFT Monitor (Gloss Black, 2ms, HDMI x 2)

2.0 out of 5 stars let down by colour representation, 25 May 2011
Lovely looking monitor, thin and light, and a nice size.
However, the first thing to be aware of is that the height of the stand is fixed.
The second, and much more serious problem is that the colour representation, sadly, is
inadequate for any serious photo work, or graphic design.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb original innovative series, with excellent Character development, 21 Feb 2011
This review is from: Paradox [DVD] (DVD)
Paradox works on so many levels. It is well written, well cast, and well produced.

Posing the freewill vs fate question; each episode is effectively a tense count-down to a would-be disaster,
predicted by a few jpegs of unknown origin, with the main cast frantically attempting to piece together the clues, and hopefully, prevent it.
The tension builds excellently, generating genuine suspense; As you will see, the outcome differs from episode to episode and anything is possible!

It is innovative, original, and the Character development is fantastic (Particularly with regards to the Rookie DC, Callum).
A refreshing change from the usual amnesia of 'Everything's back to how it was at the beginning of the episode' patronising formula that we are usually subjected to with contemporary British dramas.
Why on Earth a second series wasn't commissioned is beyond me, and I find that decision very disappointing, almost depressing - surely it's not 'too complicated' or 'too thought provoking' for the great british public!.

5.0 out of 5 stars Buy with Confidence, 13 Aug 2003
Firstly, the build quality of this tiny camera is fantastic- full metal jacket!, the lens is incredible (3x optical zoom), and the colour realism is the best I've ever seen on a digital camera. Canon have produced yet another great ixus, but this time with a massive 4 mega pixels. The anti red eye is greatly improved (I've currently taken about 400 pictures and not seen one red eye yet!), and the detail is stunning - especially on Macro mode, (with large settings @ super-fine), I took a photo of a small house spider, and on my monitor it looks like it was the size of a bath tub! and you can see every hair on every leg.
The Automatic intelligent focus (9 point) seems flawless too
Another improvement is that the Ixus battery now lasts longer because the camera is less power hungry, also night-shots on manual settings are crystal clear if you've got a tripod (or a seriously steady hand!)
fantastic camera!, deserves to be the market leader.

Before you can effectively use anything, you need to know how it works, and the brain is no exception!.
This book should be on your shelf, whether you want to be a NLP Practioner, cure yourself of phobias/fears!, or just find out when your Uncle Ted is telling fibs!.
The book covers all the main techniques of NLP- establishing rapport, Dissociating fear, analysing language etc, and you'll find yourself refering to it time after time.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Cure's finest, no-one else in the world can do this., 13 Sep 2000
This review is from: Pornography (Audio CD)
This album is really unbelievable, for a start the lyrics are superb- Smith paints an amazing picture of futility, the drums are storming and original (particularly tracks like 'the figurehead' and 'one hundred years'), the bass lines and keyboard parts still send a chill down my spine on the warmest of nights, and the guitar is cutting with some great flange. If this album can't 'cure' you, then you're really in trouble
