3.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good!, 24 Sept. 2008
This review is from: Another You [DVD] (DVD)
This film was to be the last made featuring the comedy duo of Pryor and Wilder and its not bad.

Its by no means as good as Stir Crazy, few are, but I found it on par with See no Evil and condidering the condition of Pryor at the time,MS, he pulled out a good performance.

The film actualy started out a bit poor and predictable but it did get better and funnier as it went along. One scene had Pryor at the beginning pretending to be a great street saxophanist, using a tape recorder, which is fairly corny, however it makes up for it later when Pryor is at a gig and a man who saw him playing earlier in the street scene is on stage playing guitar (looks VERY much like Andy Summers from the Police).
He announces Pryor as one the GREAT saxaphone players in the world and you can guess the rest, VERY funny scene.

Wilder's response to being recognised as someone else is great comedy too, had me in stitches, you'd really believe he actually new these people!

It may have done poorly at the box office but its certainly not that bad and is a worthy addition to anyones comedy collection!

3 and a half stars in my book!

4.0 out of 5 stars BEGGING FOR MODS, 15 Oct. 2007
This review is from: Starlancer (Video Game)
WHY do all of the new games that look no better than starlancer require such hefty pc specs when GEMS like this one require nothing at all? This game still looks great and plays wonderfully.

Freespace 2 is regarded as the daddy of space combat but, IT HAS NO COCKPIT VIEW. Starlancer HAS a cockpit view and to me it gives this game the edge. Graphics, sound, story and controls are all great but.....NO MODS.

Why a game as polished as this has no mods is a crime.Freelacer, the sequal to this has a great starwars mod 'Freeworlds' that really should have been given to Starlancer.Freelancer never felt as good with only a mouse control and i fear its now too late to hope for starlancer mods.

Anyhow,if you have not played this game then you really should.

3.0 out of 5 stars 2 Dimentional and tooooo quick!, 31 Jan. 2007
I'll try and keep it short.

Children will enjoy as it contains good action and lots of characters.HOWEVER,adult fans of the 1st 2 films will feel a little dissapointed and will need x-men 4 to make up for this films shortcomings, which are...

1.TOO quick, should have lasted at least 1/2 hour allow for...

2.Character development. There is none as the film needed a far better...

3.Script.More than a few REALLY cruddy lines e.g. "What have I done" when Magneto witnesses the ANTI power of.......

4.Dark Phoenix.Turns out to be no more than Stephen King's 'CARRIE' after smoking too much Ganga. No menace in her presence and far too........

5.2 dimensional. No depth in the main fight scenes i.e. Ice man vs Pyro or in Mccellans speaches.

The film could have been great but because of ghost writers and direction problems turns out to be just good.Regardless of what Halle Berry thinks, the film franchise is called X-Men not Storm and the cardboard extras. Time to call Mr Raimi me thinks!
