Samuel Barber Canzone (Flute/Piano) Flt
Samuel Barber Canzone (Flute/Piano) Flt
by Various
Edition: Paperback
Price: £11.95

3.0 out of 5 stars Overpriced, 30 Dec. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Quite literally a few A3 sheets of paper stapled into an A4 booklet - £12 seems excessive.
Would have been nice to have more durable cover pages.

Otherwise fine.

3.0 out of 5 stars Battery life poor, 30 Dec. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I'm reviewing this at the £169 I paid. **Remember to update the tablet to 4.3 as soon as you get it**

Pros
*Practically stock Android 4.3 - can't stress this enough - much better than Nook/Kindle/Samsung tablets
*Minimal bloat, ThinkFree office and PrintHand are useful
*Very fast (almost as smooth as my Nexus 5, miles better than an iPad 2 - *** AFTER CONTINUED USE, PERFORMANCE DEGRADES ***)
*Screen is excellent (Almost on par with an iPad Air)
*USB OTG allows connection to a DSLR or USB flash drive etc
*Micro SD - storage expansion
*Cameras front and back are fine - similar to an iPad 2, but with flash.
*What sound the speakers do put out, is good quality.

Cons
*Speakers are quiet, and placement is stupid (Worse than iPad 2, same as Nexus 5)
*Proprietary charger
*Build quality isn't great - plastic, but solid. Much better than anything else in the same price bracket.
*Port cover is flimsy
*Harman/kardon logo on the front is a sticker (haven't tried to remove for fear of leaving a residue)
*Toshiba update process is clunky - took almost an hour to go through the 4 updates necessary for a usable tablet.
*Screen colours are slightly washed out - almost pastel like (orange especially)

Notes
*The tablet does get hot (more so than an iPad 2) - nicely warms your hands rather than burns, so not a con.
*Nova launcher seems smoother than the stock launcher
*Disable the video enhancement - I noticed stutter with it enabled

For the money, this tablet is fantastic - remember that it launched at well over £300
At £169, there is nothing close.

-------- EDIT --------
After living with the tablet for a fortnight, I'm reducing the rating to 3*

The battery life is poor, struggling to make 4 hours
The UI is very stuttery compared to an almost 3 year old iPad 2

If you can live with the battery life, then sure, £169 is a good price

5.0 out of 5 stars Pure bliss, 28 Mar. 2012
These IEMs are simply excellent - the clarity and separation is near perfection, which I suppose comes from the triple BAs.

I have upgraded from some Sony XBR-700s which are very comfy, but the sound comes nowhere close to the Ultimate Ears.
My previous IEMs are so bad I shan't pollute this page with their name.

I got mine from logitech themselves in the 'blemished box' section (£100, box isn't actually blemished at all...)

TL;DR Streets ahead from anything I've heard before.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Monitor, 1 Feb. 2012
Just received my monitor direct from DELL, not one dead or stuck pixel as you'd expect.

The screen covering is typical IPS grain style, which isn't really noticeable unless you look for it.

Overall, great for Bf3 - no ghosting, game mode that oversaturates everything (who wants colour accuracy in a game !?!)

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for Mac, 1 Nov. 2011

Got this thing for my MacBook Pro, works great, quality is alright, and the responsiveness and battery life is great !

Awesome for on the road as well due to the small yet tactile size.

1.0 out of 5 stars Origin Spyware Beware, 1 Nov. 2011
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
As many others have said much more elegantly than me, the game is awesome, and deserves 5 stars.

Sadly, Origin, EA's steam 'copy' (copy is poor choice of words as it's so bad) is tantamount to spyware, it goes through ALL your files, whether that be your precious family photos or PRIVATE bank statements -- all so EA can sell on details to the highest bidder. Despicable.

For proof, here's a photo of Origin scanning his bank details and accounts [...]

Sadly for EA, Origin's EULA has ruined what could have been their great PC comeback.
