An excellent book that explains clearly the benefits of the Bach Flower Remedies.
Lynn Macwhinnie gives a clear and concise picture of the Remedies and their uses.
Suitable for anyone who wishes to find out about Dr Bach, his teachings and his wonderful Remedies.
As a Bach Foundation Registered Practitioner I happily recommend this book.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the effort of downloading, 3 May 2014

I downloaded this book after seeing an article on TV about the author who it was claimed was akin to Sir Walter Scot.
I am afraid not!
Even for free it is not worth the time spent downloading it.

An enjoyable book at any time of year.

5.0 out of 5 stars A fun book for Scots knitters everywhere, 14 Dec. 2012

This review is from: Knit Your Own Scotland (Paperback)
I saw a review of this book in the Scotsman newspaper and could not resist the idea of knitting my very own Tunnochs Teacake or a Scotch Pie.
The selelection of patterns lived up to my expectations.
There is a wide choice from Braveheart to Nessie and an amazingly recognisable Andy Moray!
There is also a thistle key ring tag, a Saltire bag, a Scottie dog and many more.
The instructions are clear and easy to follow.
It would be helpful to have the type of yarn e.g. 4 ply, arran etc explained as it is not always possible to source the yarns recommended and many patterns just need small amounts of several yarns which can be easily sourced from any knitter's stash.
Suitable for beginners and the more experenced knitter.
Many of these projects would make a great gift for any homesick expat.
I am looking forward to volume 2 Jackie.
If the authors need any ideas why not start with a haggis?

Poems and Songs of Robert Burns
Poems and Songs of Robert Burns

2.0 out of 5 stars beware the format of this ebook, 11 April 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Even though it can be downloaded for free it is not worth the time and effort of ordering.
I loved the idea of having the poems of Burns on my e reader but was very disappointed since the format makes it almost impossible to find anything.
Why on earth this is offered at all is beyond my comprehension.
Just a waste of time, Amazon take note.

4.0 out of 5 stars No Sorrow To Die, 26 Jun. 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I have read all the other books by Gillian Galbraith and was looking forward to this one however No Sorrow To Die is certainly not the best in the Alice Rice series. The pace is good but it has a rather gloomy atmosphere and several of the characters are depressing.
I wish that Alice would take stock and get herself sorted out. Perhaps she should start looking for a less stressful job or a new partner?

Bach Flower Remedies: Form and Function
Bach Flower Remedies: Form and Function
by Julian Barnard
Edition: Paperback
Price: £14.99

4.0 out of 5 stars New Insight into Bach Remedies, 25 Aug. 2009
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Julian Barnard's book provides a different approach to Bach Flower Remedies.
He gives detailed information about each Remedy with some emphasis on the plant from which it is derived. He also provides extensive detail about Dr Bach and his life.
Perhaps not for the novice, but a useful addition to the experienced Bach Remedy user's collection.
