4.0 out of 5 stars Who's back, 2 Aug. 2006
No one really expects The Who to return to past triumphs. And why should they? They stand solid today in 2006 with some good songs that leave It's Hard firmly in the dust (that's not too hard...). Sound Around starts with thundering drums that really sets the tone. But then somehow it goes quiet.

I mean the rest of the tracks. At times it sounds like filler material from a Pete Townshend solo album (sorry to say). But in my opinion they do great on They Made My Dreams Come True and Mirror Door.

But no need to worry. I know, you all know they will deliver in October with the new album. Just give them some time.

Thank God they're touring again!

5.0 out of 5 stars Dark side of the moon, 9 April 2003
A massive piece of work. Finally it's here for the diehard Who fans. I've waited years for a book like this, and now we have the story of rock's greatest drummer (I don't care what people say; he reinvented drummers). Saddening to read how bad he treated his family (his parents especially) and hilarious to read how he turned Swinging London upside down.
Rockstars today think they live on the edge....
