Travels in the Interior of Africa (World Literature Series) (Wordsworth Classics of World Literature)
by Mungo Park
Edition: Paperback
Price: 3.19

5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible story and honest account of West Africa in 1800, 25 Oct 2009
A great book, which is simultaneously a fantastic adventure and insightful anthropological study. I would certainly recommend it to anyone interested in West African culture and/or who is planning to travel in Senegal, Mali or Mauritania. Particularly fascinating is the comparison between the Mali of 200 years ago and that of today.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good, but should be better, 25 Oct 2009
As the previous reviews have stated the case is well made, leather (and therefore waterproof) and the camera fits snuggly (as it should seeing as it is custom made). However, not only are you able to put in larger accessories (filters, flash, etc.), but even the small net for smaller accessories (extra batteries, memory cards, etc.) is inadequate: it cannot be sealed and due to its placement items are likely to fall out. A grave oversight given that adding a little zip or velcro is an easy thing to do. For a bag that is made-to-measure for a single camera that just isn't good enough.

2.0 out of 5 stars OK, but not really worth it, 11 Oct 2009
I must say I wasn't particularly impressed with the book. I didn't do all the walks and so can't comment on all of it (I mainly walked Paklenica and Sjeverni Velebit), but most of the walks are perfectly well marked and there are very good SMAND maps available in Croatia which makes quite a bit of the info superfluous. The one area where I walked and could have used more complete information (Brac island) the book fell short and didn't describe the possible walks completely. However it's perfectly OK as a guide and has some handy tips, but honestly I didn't really need it.
