5.0 out of 5 stars An exceptionally charming book!, 16 Nov 2009
Having heard Brian May interviewed on Radio Four, I purchased this book sight unseen. The subject sounded both charming and fascinating. I must say that the book exceeds my expectations in every way. It's a beautiful volume reproducing a remarkable series of 3-D photographs from the mid-19th century. The book comes in a beautful slip case with a stereo viewer of surprisingly high quality, devised by Mr May. And the views are fabulous!

This is an ideal Christmas gift book for any friend who is a fan of 3-D photography or who fancies the English countryside, or is a nostalgic Anglophile.

Well done Brian May!

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful volume on an iconic landmark!, 23 July 2009
In many ways, broadcasting was invented inside these walls. This book traces the history of Broadcasting House, Portland Place, London, through its planning and construction. And then, through its beautiful restoration in 2005-2007. Fascinating photos from the BBC archive and beautiful contemporary photos of the building post-refurb.
