A thoughtful and engrossing book, 23 Sep 2013
This is an excellent exploration of two women and their grappling with the legacy of their famous fathers. The women's stories weave together and separate, across a life-long friendship. The best part of this book is that the author has really got a sense of story and is able to spin an engrossing and absorbing tale. While I'm tempted to say that it's an important picture of women's lives in a certain historical context, I'm struck by how many of themes highlighted bear strong resonance in today's world.
