What can you say about Zac Brown which has not already been said, very little really but if you have heard anything by Zac you will already know how great his voice is and also how great his music is, well this will not let you down every track is great, I now have 2 CD of the Zac Brown Band and can not wait to buy the next and future releases from this great American Country artist, a pure joy to listen to!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Final album, 9 Mar. 2015

This review is from: ALVIN (Audio CD)
First time I played this I was very disappointed, I have since played it a number of times and it is growing on me, I like Alvin and his past releases I was in the audience when he recorded his live at Ronnie Scott's CD, and when he was talking about this release prior to his sudden passing he was very pleased with it, and I now see why, it is not a CD to get you up dancing, will maybe for a slow dance, but it is a good late night listen, it is such a shame that because of his passing it will not get the promotion it deserves, I would have like to see him do the CD live, and would have like to see if he did more collaboration with the writers who have a very considerable talent, shame we will not ever have the opportunity to know what direction Alvin would have taken after this, Great Album but not necessarily on the first listen

5.0 out of 5 stars Summer Heaven with Soul, 9 Mar. 2015

if you love 60- 70's soul you will love this CD, just heard the one song on BBC Breakfast and liked the fact he used real instruments etc,it is a great Summer CD and will really get the party started, pity as an older listener you don't get to hear some of these great new artists, it seems that people like this fall into a middle category not hip enough for the younger listener and not old enough for the older listener, so glad I bought this can not wait for the Summer and sitting outside with this on the CD player, can not recommend this enough and hope he continues to produce music in this style

JOE BONAMASSA - GREATEST HITS 2CD Digipak Edition
JOE BONAMASSA - GREATEST HITS 2CD Digipak Edition

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT CD ( poor packaging), 15 Feb. 2015
How do you review something that musically excellent.First the negative the packaging is rubbish there is no note on it whatsoever no names of writers, no names of other musicians,no producers name etc. etc. That said the music is excellent it moves through various genres of music,Rock,Jazz but mainly Blues if you love great music this one is for you, think Free,Gary Moore, BB King (who appears on one track) and you are along the right tracks, this is a great introduction to as far as I am concerned a very underrated musician, buy this and you to will be hooked now to buy his new one 'different shades of blue'

5.0 out of 5 stars Back to the 60's Cat and such a strong Album !!! Great CD, a must for Music Fans!, 5 Feb. 2015
This review is from: Tell 'Em I'm Gone (Audio CD)
Well I thought it would be difficult to review this CD, but actually it is not, I am not as impressed with Cat's voice as I used to be as I think it has lost a little, However that said this is a great CD Musically Great R&B,it is written like an old fashioned and that is the only reason I can come up with that it is rather disappointingly only 36 Min's long, I wish and hope that Cat (Sorry I am so use to calling him Cat) will produce a follow up to this, I like his previous two Cd release's but I love this one it is in my humble opinion a return to the early Cat of the 60's, even the song not written by Cat are great and are very different to the original version's of the songs in question,Big Boss Man, Dying to live, you are my Sunshine, The devil came from Kansas, they are all worth a listen for that reason alone, my favourite tracks are all written by Cat himself, the production on the CD is great and it really makes a listen difference that the tracks are almost all recorded live, and as Cat himself says not using too much digital recording, I think all Cd's should be recorded like this as it really makes a difference to the sound, it is a pity this CD will probably not reach the top of the charts as it deserves to, it is a great CD and I hope he will consider doing more along the same lines, digital recording is not always the best, if you loved the early work of Cat, this one is for you and as I said before I do like the previous two CD's but this I love, Rick Rubin has produced another masterpiece, I only hope younger people get to hear this quality work

T-Rex at almost his best, not as great as Electric Warrior but a great addition to his collection that I have now completed again, after selling many years ago the original vinyl copies of his albums, if you do not know Marc's music other than the hits this is a great album to introduce you to the great body of work that Marc left behind in his all too short life, this was the follow up to Electric Warrior and shows how diverse his music was, I was so thankful to catch T-Rex live in 1972, and he played some of this album live during the concert, it brings back many happy memories and has some wonderful tracks on it

3.0 out of 5 stars Not Great a bit thin, 31 Jan. 2015

I need this DVD to complete a course I was studying with the Open University and when I noticed the talent who starred in the DVD I was expecting a great funny film, I was left a little disappointed and I will be re-selling on the completion of my course, there is nothing wrong with the actors or the story but it is unfortunately very thin, I was hoping it would lighten the pressure on the course but I am sorry to say it did not work

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great probably last CD from a talented musician, 31 Jan. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This was probably the last new CD that will be released by the now sadly missed Alvin Lee, I had not followed his music since the days of Ten Years After, but heard a couple of tracks off this CD and decided to purchase it, so glad I did it is a very Good album and it has made me look further into his later releases, if you enjoy good music played by a great musician this album is for you, he will be sadly missed

Love this CD bought it originally on vinyl and to my shame sold it a long time ago, so I was very pleased to buy this, Marc was probably at his peak around this time, but I think what a lot of people forget is that the sound of T-REX was really like no other band although they are all branded glamrock, there is very little comparison between Sweet, Slade and T-Rex 1997 was a very bad year and who know what Marc would have gone on to do with his life, he was a true star that burned very brightly but for too short a period, if you like Slider you will like this one I hope he is not forgotten as his music was very different to the works of others not least his words
