Useful range of 17 containers, good value and durable

Very pleased with these - they are good quality, for the price - and, after a few weeks of use - mostly in the fridge or freezer, but also for storing dry goods in cupboards - they seem pretty durable. Other reviews suggest they are fine for microwave use too. They also wash up well, no scratches. The lids (a nice shade of leaf green!) fit well, and each container has 2 'lipped' corners that make it easier to get the lids on and off again. The containers have been designed so that they stack neatly inside each other when not in use. I would have preferred more 'medium-sized' containers, rather than 7 of the 17 being rather small, but this is still a very good value set, comprising: 2 tall ones 14 x 14 x 16cm, 2 tall 12 x 12 x 14cm, 2 oblong 23 x 16 x 8cm, 2 square 14 x 14 x 6cm (more of those would have been good) 2 square 12 x 12 x 4cm, then the 7 little 'uns: 3 oblong 12 x 8 x 4 cm, and 4 square 9 x 9 x 4cm.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very effective for computer screen, spectacles, mirrors etc etc..., 10 Jun 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Excellent product - very efficiently removes all grubby finger marks etc from my computer screen, keyboard, spectacles, sunglasses, binocular lenses, mirrors, magnifying glass, mobile phone etc etc - and leaves them all satisfyingly sparkly clean. (My specs were so crystal clear last time I cleaned them, that I was wandering around looking for them - unaware that I was actually wearing them!). I just round everything up - and find one of the 'wipes treatments' ('wet' followed by 'dry') is sufficient to do them all - both sides of the 'wipe' are usable. (I thought the citrus smell a bit strong initially, but have got used to it now.)

5.0 out of 5 stars Small book - Gorgeous photos!, 1 Jun 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Lovely little book for all who love the Scottish islands. Contains some superb photos, as you would expect from Colin Baxter - some of them are very atmospheric - he has this knack of capturing that remarkable clarity of light, wildness, and moods of the weather that you experience up there. The islands are shown in a geographical order, south-north - starting with the Clyde islands and Arran, then lots of views of the Inner and Outer Hebrides - plus they also include St Kilda, Orkney and Shetland too. The photos are mostly of stunning landscapes, including some archaeological sites, and a few of the islanders' homes, and there are brief but interesting notes beside them. It's a small book - one of the 'mini portfolios' series - and only about 64 pages, so it can not include everything - dimensions are approx 17 x 12cm, similar to a large postcard. It's also quite slim, 6mm - so, it would be easy to pop in the post, large letter size, as a gift.

5.0 out of 5 stars Clever product design, and looks good!, 31 May 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is a very efficient and comfortable-to-use little brush (I don't always even bother with the "finger grippy thing", though that is good for keeping the brush where you want it, when using it under water). It makes short work of cleaning up all sorts of veg, and the bristles aren't so hard that they damage any of the less robust types, such as celery. It's a good design and a very tasteful-looking product as well!

5.0 out of 5 stars 5 star product, 30 April 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Excellent blender - it has a good capacity (1.5 litres max) and blends soups, smoothies etc quickly and effectively. I have only used the grinder a couple of times - for some nuts and some black peppercorns - and found it did the job very well. Other reviews also say it works well.

The whole product design is pleasing - very 'smooth' and stylish/nice-looking, plus it is 'ergonomic'/easy and efficient to use. All the components - including the blender handle - are nice and sturdy - more than is apparent in the photo. It has a solid, non-slip base. It is also all very easily cleaned.

This is a really good value piece of kitchen kit, costing me less than £30 (and it works so much better than my old machine, which had finally given up the ghost, aged 28.) I also feel that Tefal is a good, trustworthy brand. The product arrived well-packaged, a couple of days after ordering. A definite 5 stars all round!

I use this bin in the bathroom to keep cleaning equipment/old brushes/sink plunger etc out of sight and tidied away. It's a nice quality bin and perfectly adequate for a multitude of uses around the home.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good value, effective product, 15 April 2013

Very pleased with this - a replacement for a set that I'd had for 18 years! I find that a stiff bristle brush is a must for sweeping up those fiddly bits, especially in the kitchen - and this one seems well up to the job. The dustpan is a little smaller than my old one*, but perfectly adequate, efficient to use, and its smooth surface is easily wiped clean (*it is approx. 20cm across and 18 cm deep). The brush and dustpan handles clip together for easy storage - this seemed a bit tricky at first - probably best not to 'force' them together or apart - but fine once you get the 'knack'. All in all a very good value (I paid £4.95 incl p+p), effective, smart-looking product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice tidy bookshelves at last !, 3 April 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
After recently buying 3 pairs of these bookends, I was so pleased with them that I soon purchased 3 more. They are an excellent and unobtrusive way to restore order and tidiness to chaotic bookshelves - eg. no more irritating collapse of surrounding books whenever I take out the dictionary, no more piles of books on their sides to act as makeshift 'bookends'... Other reviews suggest that they are also sturdy enough to support books free-standing, eg. on a desk. These bookends are good quality, with a nice satin finish, plus very thin but effective 'non-slip' pads underneath. (As stated elsewhere, the bookends bought from 'Supplies for All' - and maybe other sellers too - have a rectangular shape, rather than the curved ones in the photo.) They do a great job, and are very good value (3 pairs plus p+p only cost me £12.47).

5.0 out of 5 stars Good quality plant rings, 2 April 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: 100 Plastic Plant Rings
Good quality product - the wire seems a bit thicker than the previous ones I had, and the green plastic coating is nice and strong. The rings bend easily to fit round different width stems as required, while still retaining a nice curved shape, plus there are no sharp ends. They seem strong enough to me, so far - I have used them indoors and outdoors, for a wide variety of stems, thick and thin, and would definitely buy this product again.

2.0 out of 5 stars Steams vegetables very well initially - BUT it's too fragile / fell to bits in 9 months, 30 Mar 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Bought as a replacement for the 'old faithful', which had finally begun to fall apart after about 10 years of regular use. This new one seems to be just the same design, and it fits neatly - base diameter c.13.4 cm - into my usual, quite small, copper-bottomed saucepan that I like to use for steaming veggies. The new steamer cooks the veg very nicely, and quite quickly (quicker than with any other type of steamer I've tried). Agree that it can be a bit awkward to hoik out of the pan - I use an oven-glove on both hands to do that.

* P.S. Update - it only took 3 weeks for one of the 'segments' to fall off, oh dear - however, this seems to have been easily repairable, using pliers to tighten the 'clip' part on the base, where each segment is attached... I may have been a tad rough with the thing, so, would recommend gentle handling/treat it as a 'fragile' item.

* P.P.S. A further update - one of the 3 wobbly little 'feet' fell off after about 6 months of daily use - so I now have to prop the thing up in the pan (with in fact a folded piece of a very old steamer, that had been lurking in the kitchen drawer for years, waiting for a use) - so as to stop the base of the steamer catching on the pan and the food burning. Star rating now down from 5 to 3/3.5... But maybe it's intended for 'occasional' rather than daily use?

* December 2013 - Oh dear, the whole darned thing has just fallen to bits - only had it 9 months - Star rating down to 2, if that... Best to find yourself a better quality version - or, only use it occasionally :-/

Lakeland (selling on Amazon) do a much sturdier version - which of course costs a fair bit more: £10.99 plus £2.99 p+p... here's the link:
