Brilliant. It is at times hilarious and at other times incredibly moving. I laughed and cried. It is deeply insightful into what it feels like for a teenager to lose a parent whilst at the same time showing how comic talent springs eternal.
this is such an interesting book. It throws light on what it is like to be out of step with the Taleban. It is much more realistic than reading opinion books, getting Malala's story from her own lips (though her Dad's influence is clearly very strong)
I like this as it throws light on why some people go missing and what it is like for those left behind. the author has taken trouble to get to know the families and she writes without being judgmental.
