5.0 out of 5 stars A real chuckler!, 9 April 2014

I found it hard to put down, a really good story with a smile or a belly laugh on every page. And you don't have to be a canal or narrow boat fan to enjoy it.....I'm not!..........

Bought for my disabled daughter after a spate of burglaries in her area. It works brilliantly, as she found out when her landlady called unexpectedly while DD was fast asleep. Thinking she was out landlady let herself in and scared the living day lights out of both of them!

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your time., 9 April 2014

Poorly written with frequent grammar and spelling mistakes. The "story" itself is a load of drivel. If you're going to write novels the least you need is a good storyline and a good knowledge of grammar and spelling.

2.0 out of 5 stars A bit of a disappointment., 27 Jan 2014

I recently read The Old Lady Who Broke All The Rules so I started to read Bridget and Joan's Diary full of hope for a good read. But it was a let down. I found it boring and not very amusing. Sorry Bridget Golightly, but I'm sure you have many readers who have/will ethoroughly enjoy it.

5.0 out of 5 stars The game warden sleuth who always gets his man!, 15 Jan 2014

I've read almost all Joe Picket books and this one is among the best. It leads you through the countryside on a roller coaster ride to find the truth about the grisly murders. C J Box never disappoints me. He's a master of the Montana/Wyoming huntin' shootin' mystery!

It was a Christmas gift and was well received. It arrived very quickly in good time to be wrapped up and hidden away. I bought it as a pocket sized book that can be carried around and consulted any time it is needed, and it does just that!

A jolly good read if a bit unbelievable. Just sit back and enjoy and don't think too deeply about the whys and where forces!

3.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable story but wanted more!, 12 Jan 2014

I don't usually like reading short stories; I prefer the longer novel. But in this case the familiar subject was almost enough for me, but I still wanted more!

5.0 out of 5 stars If you like a twist in the tail....., 14 Oct 2013

Then this is for you! Hamish lives in the Highlands of Scotland and polices his village of Lochdub with a totally different way to other policemen. He uses psychology and manipulation to get at the truth, usually out witting his superiors in his search for justice.

5.0 out of 5 stars A relaxing read....., 14 Oct 2013

With a bit of a puzzle to tax your brain. I didn't manage to get into the TV series of Macbeth, but I love the books! I've only just discovered them and am on my third one already. Gently amusing with a twist in the tail.
