Only 4 stars because I don't 'love' it! But it works perfectly - no more needs to be said.

2.0 out of 5 stars Gimmicky but not useful, 29 Sept. 2015

Typical vegetarian recipes - lots of tomatoes, cucumber (no-one is fooled by using 'zucchini' when using cucumber - it's just the Italian word for 'cucmber'!), garlic, parsley, and so on.
No good unless you plan to feed between 4 and 10 people; single people can't use the recipes - how do you use, for example, a tenth of an avocado ('Servings: 10, Recipe: 1 avocado, etc).
No wonder sit was free.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good value, 13 April 2014

Good value and good quality. The 'barrel' has a tendency to unscrew itself (and get lost!) but a little cotton thread wrapped round before screwing it up seems to have solved the problem.

This is inexpensive but does the job nicely. Just be careful not to let the tablet slip downwards when using it horizontally. Otherwise, no complaints; all ports are accessible and sound doesn't seem to be muffled. I haven't used it as a stand except to try it but that function looks fine as well. Very good value for money.

2.0 out of 5 stars The good, the bad and the ugly., 25 July 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The Toshiba Satellite seemed to be a good machine except for the erratic touchpad; it varied in response from over sensitive to hardly working. Also, it sometimes caused things to happen which shouldn't have occurred - e.g. 'clicking' on web links which weren't even highlighted.
The screen was impressive, but the sound (in spite of Toshiba's claims) was dreadful; the sound from my Lenovo tablet is much better. The disc drive had a tendency to scratch discs - when it decided to close.
Windows 8? Dire.
The past tense shows that the machine was returned as faulty.

5.0 out of 5 stars Useful addition, 5 Jun. 2013

Good product - pity it's sold in packs of three, though.
However, it certainly reduced the reflectivity of my tablet enough to make it usable in bright light, and it protects the screen, of course, reducing the appearance of finger marks into the bargain!
Be sure to apply it in a dust-free atmosphere (as far as possible), with no draughts - or suffer the consequence! Every speck of dust rushes to hide between film and screen.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good 32” television - terrible customer service from manufacturer, 1 May 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
First, there is nothing wrong with the set itself. The picture is good (who needs HD?) and the sound is more than acceptable - unlike many flat screens, so I have been told.

Now the not so good: a few of the buttons on the R/C are a little close together, but it isn’t a problem. The on-screen guide is really only good for finding what’s on in the next couple of hours; to find anything further ahead you have to keep scrolling... on... and on... and on. With that and the on-screen info for each programme, some of the words are very small and difficult to make out.

Worse still: some of the menus are a mystery - it’s a case of endless trial and error to find out how they work - probably the same with most gadgets! The problem isn’t helped by the lack of a handbook - the version available on LG’s web site is not much use; it’s one long document which can’t be searched - you have to go through it page after page until you find the information you need, or until you realise it isn’t there! Next problem, some of the menus disappear quickly - no choice to lengthen the time they appear for. And the 3D is rubbish; it’s like watching cardboard cut-outs in front of a backcloth - forget it. Fortunately, I am not interested in 3D.

Having said all that, I’m pleased with the set overall; however:

Really bad: LG’s ‘customer service’ - Low Grade! Every time I turned the first set on, I got a dialogue box asking if I wanted to use 3D or not. First response from LG - patronising; second response - unintelligible. Third response - very unhelpful, to put it mildly. They don’t seem to know anything about their products, and they don’t have any intention of being helpful. In fact, they spend more time and energy being obstructive than trying to help; even the chief executive didn’t reply to an e-mail.
After several weeks of beating my head against a brick wall, I contacted Amazon and a new set was despatched within a few hours; brilliant.

4.0 out of 5 stars An impressive gadget, 27 April 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
As this is my first tablet computer, I have nothing to compare it to, but I'm impressed with its performance and solid feel. It must compare favourably to much more expensive makes. The specs are good and there are both HDMI and USB connections, plus headphone socket, 2 microphones and a pair of speakers which give remarkably good sound for their tiny size - keep them facing you or the sound is quiet. Don't forget front and rear facing cameras - all for a very attractive price. It loses one star because it lacks any worthwhile help to start using it - the new user has to guess how it works.
The screen is bright, clear and very responsive, and the built-in browser brings up web pages quickly. I have to say that the screen is very reflective (well, it IS made of glass) but an anti-reflection screen protector improves it no end - I can now use it in the conservatory without difficulty.
A big problem is the lack of instructions - no manual and the on-line version is next to useless.
For anyone struggling to find the microSD card slot, it's under the long, narrow cover on the back - not where it's shown on Lenovo's web site! (To remove it: put the tablet face down, cover away from you, push the tiny raised bit, shove a thumb nail into the crack and move it across - the cover should pop off.)
Unfortunately Lenovo's web site varies from rubbish to useless! The `Assisted Search' function mainly gives answers which have nothing to do with the question asked. And it also contradicts the Phone Helpline. I've been informed that 1. the Ideapad won't work with Windows XP, 2. the Ideapad WILL work with Windows XP, and 3. it's a tablet and won't work with a PC because they have different operating systems. As for the built-in blue-tooth, the Phone `Helper' didn't know if it would talk to my PC if I bought a dongle.
I was also told e-books can't be transferred to the Ideapad from a PC - they can, I've done it!
As for the response to feedback left on Lenovo's web site, first it was "We're looking into it - we'll be in touch," then (2 weeks later, after a reminder) "We're still looking into it - we'll be in touch," followed (after another 14 days) by "We've closed your case." There was a phone call in between times - but the caller gave wrong information.
The Ideapad - impressive. Lenovo's customer service - abysmal.

I've had M.E (also wrongly known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) for more than twenty years.
This book is said to be 'like an encyclopaedia' which is fair enough but far too long for some-one with M.E. to cope with, especially as it contains nothing of any practical assistance. There are lists of all sorts prefaced by phrases such as '.. may help some...'. EVERYTHING MAY help some people - not a lot of help. Also, the web sites given are all in the USA; they aren't relevant to anyone outside N America.
