5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent case., 29 July 2014

Once you figure out the ways to fold it it will work in pretty much any position you want it.
The protection/weight balance is perfect for use around the home and perhaps light travelling,
Pretty much ideal as an alternative to the official case.

2.0 out of 5 stars Flawed teapot, 17 Jan 2014
My dad picked this up in Tesco, and I really can't stand using it. Ok, it looks quite nice and it pours quite well, but it ends there. The press mechanism is a bit of a flawed idea. Firstly You pretty much have to make the full pot for it to be useful. Secondly, because there are no holes at the bottom of the infuser, it doesn't defuse the tea in to the rest of the pot as well as it should. Lastly at the end you get some really horrible tea concentrate, which makes it near impossible to use for a second steep.

Sorry, Bodum, I like you french press pots but this isn't for me.

Very small and doesn't stick out like most USB adapters, hurts performance a touch but serves a purpose.
Recommended if you need a small adapter.

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent album, 14 Jan 2013

This is a pretty good and very funky album.
Opening track is my favourite but the 73 minute running time isn't really justified, the material isn't strong enough to warrant it, not that it sounds bad at any point but it slips in to ordinary every so often.
Production is not good IMO, the drums sound weird and overall it sounds a bit boxy. Like most modern CDs it's fairly compressed and flat, guitars don't come alive when they should do.

1.0 out of 5 stars Worst sounding cd ever, 3 Jan 2013
This review is from: Death Magnetic (Audio CD)
OK so the songs are mostly pretty decent, much better than st anger and a few rather good ones. Judas Kiss, broken beaten particularly.

Sadly this has to be the worst sounding cd I will probably ever buy. I picked this up the week it came out from hmv or something and thought my speakers were about to blow.
It's mastered so badly that it's beyond compressed and flat sounding like many modern CDs do, it is so loud it literally distorts at times, like being played through some sort of valve distortion pedal. I really don't know how this was allowed to be released, it's hazardous to speakers all around the world!
You can't hear any bass because it's mushed out, what was the point of hiring a new bassist?
Who knows how much say the band had in this or whether they were given the option of a better remaster.
I suspect they are now fully aware of how bad it sounds but can't say so in public.
Fortunately the unmastered versions made it in on to guitar hero, pathetic that an xbox game sounds better than a "professionally produced cd" but such is the stupidity of the modern music industry.

I came across these guys whilst seeing they were supporting the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble. They performed a top notch show and part of that is the strong material which is on CD.
The songs have enough variation to allow listening to the full cd without wanting to skip tracks. Personal favourites of the originals are GTFA and Slow Burn, two quite different tunes but equally good. The covers a gems too, No Diggity is a brilliant take whilst Africa by Toto and Under the Bridge bring new life to these songs.

All in all highly recommended and look for a gig near you!

4.0 out of 5 stars Still a great album, sounds great and the live cd is worth it... but, 2 Nov 2011
So obviously this a great album and I have to say the live disc is a good listen, obviously not as polished but has a dynamic sense to it that a studio version could never achieve. Can't say whether it is a better master etc, it seems as the voices are a touch clearer, I wouldn't lose sweat if you have a recent master of the cd.

However it only gets 4 stars because the packaging is dreadful. While I appreciate the move away from regular jewel cases I hate this sort of cd design because it results in smudged and scratched cds. you physically can't take out the discs without touching the read side. This applies to the entire range, I just spent 2 minutes trying to get the booklet to Animals back in to place. I know it seems like something silly to complain about, packaging, but it's enough to knock a star off. +---------

5.0 out of 5 stars One of my favourite CDs, 27 April 2010

I discovered this band whilst listening to pandora radio(whilst you could still get it in the UK).

I don't really know much about the band, and they seem to have disappeared in to the ether so this is probably the last album we'll see.

Anyway, as I mentioned in the title this is one of my favourite CDs and would recommend this to anyone who likes anything funky.
I'm not sure what to compare it to, there's a few different elements here, stuff like Maceo Parker I suppose.
There might not be any household names providing virtuoso performances here, but that works in it's favour as the songs are very well crafted and there's a real sense of a band here and it all seems to just "work".

In short a really good fresh sounding album which gets better with each listen. If you like funk buy it!
Check out a couple of the tracks at [] if you want to have a listen first.

1.0 out of 5 stars I don't care about "selling out", but this sucks, 28 Dec 2006
This review is from: St. Anger (Audio CD)
This is the worst album that Metallica have ever produced, and I only hope it stays like that. There's no melodies of any kind, it's all hideously out of key. The lyrics are poor, the guitar and drum tones are terrible. It's the musical equivalent of stepping through barbed wire (in a very bad way)

I really struggle to see anything good about this album, except maybe that some of the songs are OK live.

Like I said, i don't care if bands sell a lot of records and "sell out" but if the music is bad there's not much I can say to defend one of my favourite bands.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good deal, 25 Dec 2006

Considering it comes with USB and Ethernet functionality a microfilter and lots of cables you get a nice deal with this, good quality modem at a nice price. There are minor issues of using this with routers but read my review on the wrt54gs and it explains how to resolve easily. If you can't be bothered to read my review just take note that I recommend using it in bridged only mode with routers.

Going direct in to a pc, no known issues, if it doesn't work you probably just need to reboot your pc.

1 star knocked off because the adsl2+ firmware doesn't appear to exist
