5.0 out of 5 stars A cracking point and clicker, 2 Jun 2012
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars

Having played most of the classic point and click adventure games over the years, I played this one and found it to be very good indeed. It reminds me of the later Monkey Island and Simon the Sorceror titles and contains a lot of humour. The graphics are very good and the voices are well done. The only gripe was the fact that at the very end of the game, the voices and subtitles switched to German.
If you enjoy a good adventure game then this could be one for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Short but very good., 2 Jun 2012

I have played Machinarium which I thoroughly enjoyed. I was looking for something similar and bought this. It has a similar feel in graphics and music, but is totaly different in gameplay.
It is in 1st person perspective and revolves around collecting puzzle pieces to piece together the Tiny Planet.
There are lots of collecting to do to enable devices to work to help you on your way.
The only down side, was that I finished it in 2 sesions.
But I did enjoy the game and would buy a sequel (hint hint - Lace Mamba).

AmazonBasics Hard Black Carrying Case for 5-Inch / 12.7 cm Sat Navs

5.0 out of 5 stars A good alternative, 20 May 2012

The AmazonBasics hard satnav case is a tad too roomy for just my TomTom XXL, but perfect for the satnav and cable / charger.
Bear in mind that this case is not make or model specific, just a "universal" case that I have found to be very good quality in materials and construction. It won't slip into your pocket and it doesn't have a belt loop, but it's ideal if you want to keep your satnav and charger / cabling protected when you tuck it out of sight or carry it to or from the car.
For the money, I recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ideal, 22 April 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
After reading reviews of the XXL Classic (good and bad), I thought I'd take the plunge. To be quite honest, I'm very happy with it. It updated no problem (after backing it up first) and downloaded the latest map without any issues at all.
It's fairly simple to use and quite intuitive. A route can be easily set via postcode or town and adding points of interest is a boon.
The lane display is very handy (especially on the bigger roundabouts/junctions) and the voices are clear and well phrased.
Like another reviewer noticed, there is no silver bezel on this XXL, just plain black (but if you look at the image on the box, that's plain too).
All in all, a good buy.

Air Vent Mount for the TomTom XXL IQ Routes Regional & Europe
Air Vent Mount for the TomTom XXL IQ Routes Regional & Europe

5.0 out of 5 stars Handy accessory, 22 April 2012

Bought this vent mount for my XXL Classic. Very good quality and very easy to fit / remove. It does allow a little wobble of the satnav, but this is unavoidable in vent mounts. It's not the mount's fixing to the vent that moves, but more to do with the weight of the satnav on the adjustable arm.
The arm in question has a ball at either end and allows for almost any position you want. The only down side is more my car than the mount. The air vents are close to the steering wheel and things get a tad tight between the 'nav and the indicator / wiper stalks. So, I use it in the passenger center vent, which does require more of a purposeful look than glance when mounted on the screen.
The supplier received my order on friday midday, it arrived the next morning (and I hadn't chosen express delivery either).
All in all, a very good purchase, methinx.

Update.
As the mount is quite versatile, I have managed to attach it to the vent near the door mirror adjuster on the top right hand side of the dash.
This is spot on for using the 'Nav as it's now close to hand and easily visible in this position.
Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent scope, 4 Jan 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
After reading many reviews I bought one of these scopes for my partner for bird watching and star gazing. Easy-peasy to put together and so simple to use. Yes, at the higher magnification the image does darken a tad, but is still acceptable, and the extra reach can be very handy.
The quality of the scope is excellent and it's weight was surprisingly light (it is a fair sized unit)and have found it to be a very impressive bit of kit for the price. So much so that I have ordered one for myself too.
I do recommend a good stable tripod though, preferably without a "portrait" tilt up type head.
I'd have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone wanting a good quality scope.

A nice set of bongos at a good price. Well made and easy to tune with the key supplied.
Although the description was "red and white", they were actually red and unstained light wood which I prefer.
If you fancy having a go at the bongos, these are a good choice from beginner to intermediate and should last well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Blade Runner at it's best., 8 Dec 2009

A classic that benefits from Blu Ray. The atmosphere is still there whilst the picture seems a touch ligher and the details very much more defined. If you enjoyed the film on DVD and fancy watching it again, get the Blu Ray version and be pleasantly surprised by the difference.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple but effective, 20 April 2009
I purchased one of these (elsewhere) and used it to set up a satellite dish for freesat.
After a little research on the web I found the advice that if you aim your dish to east then slowly turn your dish to the south, the first signal you get is Astra 28.2E. Turn your dish slowly and when you get the highest reading, turn the knob until the pointer is at 5 and keep turning the dish back and forth until you again get the highest reading (if need be, turn the knob down to read 5 again and repeat until the needle will go no higher)then tighten the nut(s) / bolt(s). Do this again but on the vertical adjustment and you are set up nicely.
It took me about 2 minutes to align and on most channels I get 100% on signal strength and quality.
A handy gadget to have that's easy to use.
