1.0 out of 5 stars Thin and flimsy, 11 Nov 2013

Although this was cheap it really is ridiculously thin. I should have paid more for one that might last more than a few weeks!

2.0 out of 5 stars Amazing, but broke immediately when out of warentee., 26 Aug 2013
So this was my 2nd ebook reader... physically not feeling as good quality as my sony ereader, I took the plunge for the conviniance of being able to read the same book on multiple devices.. great.. I thought...

Just out of warentee the screen turns unresponsive. "Sorry sir", I get from amazon, "its out of warrentee, so youll need a replacement. Oh and you cant send it back to have it fixed as we cant fix them.. however we do have reconditioned ones for 3/4 of full price for you to buy..." .

... how can you have reconditioned ones if you cant fix them?.. sounds like a swizz.... regardless of the fact that it shouldnt stop working after sitting on my bedside table.....

Hopefully, for the millions of kindle users this was an isolated faulty unit, maybe it was made on a friday afternoon, 2 minutes before end of shift..... either that or the first one made by a trainee with a stinking hangover.

I'm more surprised by Amazons response than that a piece of tech can die inexplicably.

1.0 out of 5 stars too much "niceness", 29 Nov 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I'm really struggling with this one, it's a good concept, but the characters are all just a little.. well.. wimpy... all they seem to care about is "are you ok?" "will you forgive me" "give me a cuddle" I'm sure this sort of thing appeals to some, but for me I'd prefer a good old complex plot than never ending "relationship" stuff. If my wife was into fantasy books, she would probably like this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Goodness me,, 1 Oct 2007
I have wanted this ever since i got a demo in a department store, but put it off ... as it is 'quite expensive'. I did have a Tassimo Nespresso Machine, that i thought was great, but it is quite wasteful, (and anything but the coffee was awful most notably the 'Late' discs). However it did the job of a reasonable coffee quick, easy and Much better than instant rubbish.

So wanting more i upgraded to a cheap and cheerful (under 30) espresso machine. it was great, good coffee - but.... It was a bit of a faff to do, and clean. Then it broke after about a week.... but it did enough to prove i really wanted nice coffee........

Then i saw the Prima Donna... what a beauty, relatively small and it does everything.... full programmable to your cups and strength, it cleans itself, it even turns itself on in the morning to heat up the tank and your cups. I'm sure you can probably program it to do your ironing and pick up your shopping if only i could find the function.

This thing is amazing and worth the money for what it does..... it comes down to how you justify it.... I figure you spend more on a sofa and a TV... and neither of those help get me up in the morning...

You can spend half the money on a REALLY nice manual one... but you'll never use it as you have to faf about with grinding and cleaning...

but then i am lazy.....
