No Room at the Moustache and Mullet (Eurotandem Tales Book 2)
No Room at the Moustache and Mullet (Eurotandem Tales Book 2)
Price: £3.60

3.0 out of 5 stars Carry on cycling!, 23 May 2016

A sequel to Tvat och Vask, which was excellent, this is not quite as entertaining - but that could be because I read it straight afterwards. This book follows the tandem from Austria through to Sicily. Still some interesting observations but not quite up to the standard of travelling through Sweden and Denmark when I actually laughed out loud from time to time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Heartwarming, 23 May 2016

A lovely story demonstrating what is good and bad in small village life in France. From the duplicity of some public officials to the great kindness and willingness to help thwart the local corruption, it says it all. It is also well written which makes it a very easy and enjoyable read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good bedtime reading - all that cycling made me sleep well, 11 May 2016

Not something I would want to attempt personally so one could enjoy the journey vicariously. I laughed out loud at some of the things such as everything being shut out of season. So very Scandinavian.

An exciting story with enough basis in fact to make you think and wonder how much is true. A fascinating era in history of which many of us know very little.

A great "starter" Thesaurus. Good layout and fairly simple to use. Hopefully it will prove both useful and enjoyable.

The phone skin was OK, but looked a bit cheap. Not quite the quality I had hoped for.

4.0 out of 5 stars History from a different aspect, 29 Sept. 2015

This book was interesting as some characters were familiar whilst others were not. I had never hear of Owen Tudor and found his story interesting and engaging. The book was well written and I look forward to the sequel.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exactly what I had hoped for, 29 Nov. 2014

The cloth arrived very promptly and in good condition. I am extremely happy with it as it hangs like a normal cloth yet wipes clean perfectly in the event of a spill. Very good quality indeed - it looks very elegant.

2.0 out of 5 stars A bit heavy going, 25 Jun. 2014

As an exercise in comparing the various Nordic peoples this is reasonably successful. However I found it concentrated a bit too much on the Danes and yet failed to pick up how unpopular they are with the other Nordics - obviously Michael Booth has become blinded by his years of living there. I also struggled to finish the book as the writing style was as boring as the Danes - I really think he has lived there too long, he should probably go back to Britain for a while to rediscover his sense of humour.

3.0 out of 5 stars Interesting insight, 25 Jun. 2014

This is a good "starter" for anyone needing to get some understanding of the Norwegian psyche. It could go a little deeper - I found it a bit superficial, but otherwise good and at times amusing.
