2.0 out of 5 stars It will eventually "cut" your lawn but you wont love using it, 29 Sept. 2010
Owned this mower since March 2004 - 6.5 years.
Have 3 small areas of lawn and tend to leave the grass 3+ weeks inbetween mowing.

In summary, my general observations:

1) If you leave the grass more than say 3 weeks or the grass is wet, will NOT cut the grass cleanly - it will rip the grass and therefore cuts unevenly.

2) Position of collection bin at front is a design fault. People tend to walk forwards when mowing the lawn, so as the bin rests on the longer grass it tilts at an angle towards the mower. Many times this will dislodge the bin - the plastic clips are very very flimsy. If the grass is too long, it will not work unless the bin is removed - a bit pointless. Also, if you have plants or bushes in the borders you can't reach the end of the lawn pointing forwards as the bin will hit the plant/tree.

3) Cuttings get flung into the collector bin and are not compacted. After 20 ish feet the bin will get full and start to fall back onto the blade, resulting in the blade getting stuck if you carry on. Gets full too quickly, even for small lawns.

4) You need to constantly walk forwards 2 feet backwards 1 foot, forwards 2 feet backwards 1 foot, (you get the picture), as you need to go over the grass twice simply because the mover is not good enough to keep constantly moving forward - very good exercise for your arms, but will add time onto cutting even small lawns. Not suitable for big lawns.

5)Height adjusting bar - it states that you get a lovely striped finish by adjusting the rear wheel. The flimsy, plastic height adjuster is a pain in the ar*e to move up and down. You will NOT have the patience to alter the height on every run up&down the lawn - best to keep on a lower setting but not the minimum unless you like mud in lieu of grass.

6)The cylinder is not especially wide, and so to mow the edge of the lawn the wheels will fall off into the border - this is not good as it will result in a muddy bald patch along the edge. You need to leave a couple of inches around the edge and use a strimmer. (Not too much of an issue as you need to strimmer edge anyway).

7)Mover is very light and is easily positioned.

I'm about to buy a new mower and will not be buying this one again - I'm looking at getting a flymo or something else.....

Conclusion:
Will eventually "cut" your lawn but you will not love using it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Horrid Singing, 23 July 2009

I agree with review James Lappin, the singers voice just grates. No matter how good the music is I simply can't listen to it because his voice is annoying....

4.0 out of 5 stars Great value!, 29 Jan. 2009
Can't really go wrong paying less than £90 for a good looking watch that does look more expensive. (Just bought it as a second watch for work)

Can't be bothered writing a review but if you had to take 20 albums away on an island, this would always be one of them.

4.0 out of 5 stars Coldplay's best album so far, 29 Jun. 2008
All the previous Coldplay albums had a few good songs on each album but a few boring songs as well, they seemed incomplete - this is the first time Coldplay have created an album were all the songs are listenable from start to finish. Eno's atmospheric sound binds the album together. (PS R_adio heeead fan!!!)
