The improvements and changes between this and WWE 13 are really minimal which, considering the publishers THQ went under and had to sell off the franchise to 2K midway throught development, is understandable. I think the handover between the two must have taken some time as a result which cut into what they could change for this game. The "30 Years Of WrestleMania" mode is just a rehash of the "Attitude Era" mode from the previous game and there are almost no changes to the way matches play out, although it does seem the difficultly level has gone up a little bit. Either that or I'm getting slow!

That said, the game is still good fun although the chaotic aspects that came with the game 5-6 years ago (where you could brawl from the ring to backstage and then dive from a helicopter) are gone, which is a pity. If you didn't play WWE 13 or just love the stars of yesteryear then this game will be a lot of fun for you, otherwise I'd save your money and wait for WWE 2k15 to come around, hopefully by then some real changes will have been made.

4.0 out of 5 stars Family Fun with a Few Flaws, 4 Jan 2014
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
Easily the best Lego game so far, and I've played them all. My girlfriend and I had so much fun playing this. I'm sure it's great for kids but it's equally great for comic book nerds like me. I loved all the little in-jokes and references to other franchises (there's a particularly funny one that mentions the film Snakes On A Plane that got me giggling), plus who wouldn't get a kick out of seeing The Hulk do the vacuuming?

Most of the little puzzles that you have to complete are pretty easy but there is the occasional part where you might find yourself scouring the area for ages trying to find one tiny thing you've missed. The only truly major drawback for me was the flying, especially as Thor. For some reason the button to go higher is also the same button to make you fly faster which can get confusing. If you're trying to do some intricate flying you can frequently go zooming off in another direction without wanting to. It's a little easier as Iron Man but still fiddly. The split screen can be a bit off-putting too but if you've played any other Lego games you'll be used to that. None of these flaws take away from how much simple fun you can have playing it though.

Thoroughly recommend buying this game, you won't regret it!
