I thought this was the album. The cover art for album and single are very similar so I ended up buying this one by mistake. I would not have bought a single for £7 if I had known this before.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun if you don't take it too seriously., 20 Sept. 2011

I'm a big MMA fan and to be honest, when it comes to watching these straight-to-DVD movies, I'm not expecting some masterpiece of cinema which is the holy grail of MMA, I just expect a simple story with some fighting, and that's pretty much what you get with this movie. Alright, the fights aren't technical whatsoever but they are still entertaining to watch and it's always fun to see cameos from real life MMA fighters such as Frank Mir and Miguel Torres.

The characters in this film are nothing to write home about. The main character is the typical tough guy who tries to avoid trouble but trouble always finds him. Dean Cain and Bei Ling's characters are really quite annoying. Heath Herring's character is just a generic bad guy. The coolest character is probably the trainer who lives on a farm and starts a fight with Kimbo Slice. He has a few funny moments.

I would reccomend this film if you are a big MMA fan who doesn't take films too seriously, but if you are looking for a more serious film then I recommend "Blood & Bone" or "Redbelt"

I've seen pretty much every "MMA" film and this one ranks somewhere in the middle. I liked the cast in this film, there are some really good actors apart from Michael Bisping (who isn't as bad as I thought he would be). The characters are likeable for the most part and the relationship between the guy and the girl is quite sweet.

What let me down about this film was the fight scenes and the soundtrack. The fight scenes was pretty repetitive with not many MMA techniques involved and the soundtrack was filled with really poor quality Nu-Metal bands with generic lyrics. I like Nu-Metal music but these songs sounded like they were recorded in a garage or something.

Apart from Bisping, there's a few other MMA fighters with cameo appearences: Bobby Lashley, Heath Herring & Mike Swick.

5.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable if you have a sense of humour, 8 Feb. 2010
This is a good Tomb Raider adventure that returns to the roots of the original by having Lara explore the tombs, caves and forests in solitude, which is quite a relaxing experience. Encounters with animals and humans is rare so you don't have to worry too much about shooting stuff and losing health. Some of the puzzles are cool and require some thought just like what made the older games so great.

The amount of bad reviews the game has gotten here isn't very surprising, as this PS2 version is kind of like the red-headed stepchild version as it obviously hasnt been given much attention. There are alot of glitches and strange happenings which might irritate some people, but I see it more like watching a bad B-Movie and laughing at the mistakes and poor quality of the film. Like for example, there is a part near the beginning of the game where you encounter the Kraken (large octopus creature) and in this version, it does not move, it just sits there, stagnant. If you swim up to it and touch it then you just suddenly die. Probably the laziest programming i've seen in a game, but still I couldn't help but laugh.

3.0 out of 5 stars Rise & Fall of WCW, 3 Jan. 2010
90 minutes was clearly not enough to cover the story of WCW, they missed out on alot here. As this was a 3 disc DVD, I think it would have worked better if they went with a format such as:

Disc 1: The beginning - 1989

Disc 2: 1990 - 1996

Disc 3: 1997 - 2001

But instead we get the whole story crammed onto Disc 1 with a compilation of extra matches comprising the other two. Those matches will probably find their way onto future DVD releases aswell as this is obviousy not going to be the end of the WCW money train.

4.0 out of 5 stars Plus it doesn't write CDs, 25 Dec. 2009
To add to the previous review, it does not write CDs either, it only reads them. So if you want to burn CDs (like I did) then you will have to pay a little more for one of the combo or DVD-RW products.

5.0 out of 5 stars no more dark days, 22 Oct. 2008
This is an awesome alternative album by a group of very talented musicians from such great bands as Sevendust, Stereomud and Skrape. The guy who gave this a 1 star review bought this album based on a very brief 3 sentence review so we can see what kind of deep intellect we're dealing with here. But I do agree that you should check out other sources for a review on this album, because I think you'll find that the top music sites (that know what they're talking about) will tell you that this is a great CD put together by Corey Lowery and co. The song-writing and production is top-notch and all of the songs are very memorable!

This CD has some solid rock songs with memorable hooks. The lead singer has wrote songs for the Daughtry album and he's married to Melissa-Joan Hart (Sabrina Teenage Witch). If you like this then also check out Breaking Point and Greenwheel!

This album is amazing, I always listen to it and never get bored, there's so much going on in each song, the music is incredible and the vocals are stunning. It's a shame Joey left the band, I would have loved to have seen what direction they would have gone, they were a truly a unique band, and now lost forever. Shame. :(

4.0 out of 5 stars Good game for a first try, 14 Sept. 2008
This review is from: TNA Impact (PS2) (Video Game)
Obviously this wasn't going to be as huge as Smackdown, they have a bigger staff, bigger budget and a lot more experience (they've been making them since 2000) so straight off the bat if you're going to compare the two then you are gonna be dissapointed as SD as alot more features and options to play with.

I think as a stand alone game, this is a fun game for any TNA fan, or any wrestling fan for that matter, unless you're one of those kids who are die-hard WWE fans and live and die by it and won't accept any other wrestling (check out the 1 star reviews for an example) and it lays a solid foundation for future games where the improvements will be made.

The one thing that I was dissapointed in was that there is NO CAW in the PS2 version for some reason, and the tag team matches can be quite frustrating as the A.I. is quite stupid and there is just one camera angle that is far away from the ring.

Apart from those tag matches, I have enjoyed the Story mode thus far, its something completely different and quite fun, although I can see alot of people being dissapointed that when they start the game up and see all the "Locked" characters they will excited that their favourite star might be there, only to find that they have unlocked some unknown jobber like "Bruiser Belencia" or "Demonic DJ" - Really, who is going to want to play as those characters??
