Edition: Paperback

2.0 out of 5 stars Better sticking to Lonely Planets, 25 April 2010
I guess personal preference is what this review is all about. I just prefer the layout and format of Lonely Planets to Frommer's guides. This one wasnt particularly intuitive and didnt agree with their recommendations. In the end I gave up on it because I didnt really trust what they had to say.

2.0 out of 5 stars Was OK for about 18 months then leaked, 25 April 2010
Got this kettle and all was well until I noticed the odd bit of water in the base. Thought at first it might just have been condensation but after a while it became clear that it was the main body which was leaking. I know these things are pretty cheap but I would expect a bit more than 18 months before it became a heath and safety hazard! So now in the market for another kettle which wont be this one.

1.0 out of 5 stars Good in theory but died within two months, 13 July 2009
Bought this as it (in theory) met my needs of a large capacity drive which sat on my network for accessing by a variety of devices.

Put some photos and music on there (about 200GB) and accessed it without much problems.

Then it started playing up so read on the net that this was solved by updating the firmware. Did this and all was well for the next 2 or 3 weeks.

THen I noticed the blue light on it was now flashing red. So checked the diagnostics software which said it had bad sectors. Got in touch with Buffalo who said the unit was knackered.

Spent the next week and a bit trying to get all the files back off again and then just as frustrating was trying to figure out how to get it back to Amazon outside their 30 day return policy.

Still not got to the bottom of this and my only hope is that when the new one comes its worth it :(

4.0 out of 5 stars Check size first!, 23 Dec. 2008
Bought a pair of the all black all stars in size 11. Normally that size is fine but they were a bit tight at the toes. Have returned them for 12's. Smart pair of shoes all the same.

Might be worth checking them out in a shop first for size.

5.0 out of 5 stars Does the job!, 16 Aug. 2008
Got a decent set of knives which I paid a fair bit for a few years ago. They were showing their age but I didnt want to use the sharpener stick so bought one of these on the strength of other amazon reviews.

Spent 10 minutes drawing each of the 5 knives through (of various size). Like a new set of knives for a £6 purchase! If you need to sharpen your knives buy one of these - you wont be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Creative MuVo TX SE 1GB, 21 July 2005
After much deliberation bought this as a gift. Went for this over a radio bundled model because of the division of storage space on models with radios was a bit annoying.
The other two selling points of this was the use of "over the counter batteries" (single AAA) and the fact the unit is fully self contained (you dont need a cable for USB, its built onto the player itself, which is protected by the battery case).
Sound quality excellent (headphones might need replacing - not very comfortable) not owned long enough to know about battery life, but can say that its very easy to get loaded up with songs and get rocking.
Amazon were also the cheapest by a fair bit by the time you take into account delivery.
