5.0 out of 5 stars lovely and cosy, 23 Oct 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
just arrived - thick and warm and very soft - only minor criticism would be that Shark suit buttons down the front unlike the Lion suit I also bought which has a zip - not possible to see this from photo. Arrived early and I am sure my grandsons will love them - just got to buy non slip socks now.

February 2014 and after comments - boys simply loved them - and they looked extremely cute too - they also washed on a cool/cold wash and I simply hung them to dry - no loss of softness or fullness - very satisfied with my purchases.

5.0 out of 5 stars utter gut wrenching honesty, 21 Oct 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Fisheye: A Memoir (Kindle Edition)
The original version I got lacked the last 4 chapters which frankly changed the entire book. This is real, warts and all, recollections of a childhood and young adult life and all the wrong turnings that can be taken when parents aren't enough. Both over valued and undervalued depending on the adult involved, Trish is confused and conflicted and hides in any substance or relationship that provides even temporary relief. The strong conclusion is great reading and I am so pleased that her life eventually blossomed. Very well written too.

If you are getting this from Kindle make sure that it is the full version.

5.0 out of 5 stars excellent, 21 Oct 2013

Really enjoyed this well written book which stands alone but revisits some of the characters from her first novel - much less religion - some great dialogue and lovely characters I look forward to meeting again in the next book due out very soon.

4.0 out of 5 stars read back to back with All she wanted, 21 Oct 2013
Very well written - well drawn characters - some introspection and good analysis - rather too much religion for me although it was well introduced and integral to the story - will definitely read the next book due out very soon.

5.0 out of 5 stars another great novel by this author, 13 Oct 2013

The always reliable Joseph Flynn has created another excellent novel with 2 separate storylines which intertwine towards the end - great characters / humour / romance / action / introspection and some deep discussions - a great novel.

Glad he got together with Susan at last - storyline a little further stretched than felt comfortable but loads of action (in every sense) and I'll enjoy re-reading it too I was so pleased to get it I rather rushed through it.

4.0 out of 5 stars very enjoyable, 3 Oct 2013
Light - very light - reading but suited my mood - I don't always need to have my emotions wrung out and this is a very appealing if totally accident prone heroine and a sexy male in some absurd situations - I'll be reading more from this author.

4.0 out of 5 stars very surprising choice of reading for me, 24 Sep 2013
Right - well this book was written targeting a market of American teens - I am a 70 year old Scottish widow but I did have an excellent school grounding in Greek and Latin Gods. It is fantasy and there were mistakes - e.g. you don't get manatees in the Adriatic but then again you don't get raccoons in UK especially London and that didn't hurt the 101 Dalmations film. The mythological research seems sound - the premise is unique - the writing is good - some typos as always - and past tense of shine is shone not shined. BUT there was a real charm to the story and I will be buying and reading the rest of the series...if only to find out how a teen mortal can become a goddess..against all the resistance.
