1.0 out of 5 stars Do not buy, I repeat do not buy this., 14 Sept. 2014
I brought one of these from AliExpress. I would advise against wasting your money on this digital door viewer, all the advertised function performed poorly. Basically, it seems like some oddball Chinese company decided to use a cheap and nasty mobile phone as the basis for a door viewer.

e.g. of its crappiness, say you are not at home, and you left the door viewer to take video messages, a voice recording of a Chinese male would answer for you, there's no way to modify this. On the packaging is a rendering of the software GUI that looks nothing like what's actually displayed, the user interface is also exceedingly bad, the video capture is jerky, photo capture is of poor quality.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very nice display quality, great touch features, 18 Dec. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The display is bright, clear, very crisp, colours look fantastic, wide viewing angles, very good indeed!

The touch display also works quite well on Windows 7, software is automatically installed, but no 10 finger touch.

The built-in speakers is not so good, sounds distant, I think they are placed on the top of the screen facing upward, and with no speaker grille, sounds muffled within the enclosure.

Controls to the monitor is a bit convoluted, but you wouldn't be using it that often, aesthetic wise, it is better being unobtrusive, such that the monitor looks very tidy and clean in appearance

The adjustable angle of monitor is nice too, works well.

Overall when connected to a laptop, if feels like a giant tablet.

4.0 out of 5 stars A phone that only fits Sponge Bob's square pants, but..., 21 Oct. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
It is gorgeous, only Sony knows how to make something like this, before Apple glossy products came along, Sony was already there, I had not brought a Sony product since the Sony UX micro PC back in 2008, and boy had they got their mojo back, new CEO, handsome guy he is. If not for this purchase busting my pockets, I would have also brought the Sony Vaio Tap 11.

It is solidly well made, very clean, minimal design and very thin like chocolate McVities equally delicious.

The size, I'm very sure you are thinking about buying this because of its sheer monster size, and you want to carry one less item in your bag. The size of the screen is the perfect sweet spot, not too unwieldy, watching videos, it doesn't feel small, compared to my previous phone the Galaxy note. The brightness isn't as good as a OLED screen but I reckon the colour are more natural, great for reading.

Performance is excellent, it is simply very slick to use, the MHL HDMI output work well.

The speaker is loud, it is oddly louder when place on a flat surface.

The pencil input thing is a bit gimmicky, if you haven't fallen for Galaxy note pen, will not feel short changed.

Comes with a free bluetooth headset, so you don't have to look like you're using a Dom Joly phone.

Bad points, the bloody 8MP camera is really bloody awful, why not have Z1 camera? Where's the bloody flash? It doesn't even do as well as the 2 year old galaxy note, minus 1 star that's for sure. A LED flash is great of taking table length photo in dim settings, it is not asking to much... Awful, that's twice awful.

4.0 out of 5 stars Rather exceptional sound and clarity, 11 Oct. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
First, if your ears are tuned to bass heavy earbuds, don't get this. If you prefer clarity and reproduction that isn't coloured or distorted by heavy bass, than this a good choice. There is significant enhancement, I feel, for the band 1~3kHz, rather nice for classical music and vocals, but not for dance/pop music. There's XBA-2s, XBA-3s, to complete the bandwidth you like. These earbuds also seem a lot more efficient, I often find myself turning down the volume for it being too loud.

The tips are also generous, there's the foamed version which provides better sound isolation.

The price for a balanced armature IEM is pretty good (brought for £22.99). As a price anchor comparison, go to Mouser, check out the price for a Knowles balance armature speaker/transducer, these cost around £10 each, the cheapest. Worth the price you are paying, I do think it is unsurpassed for similarly priced earbuds.

5.0 out of 5 stars Britain in the poor house, an analogy of UK in recession..., 6 Jan. 2013

This review is from: Oliver Twist (Kindle Edition)
Cute dole-eyed bankers beggaring the public purse, not fearing any repercussion but without happy ending and no remorse with more celebratory champaign. What I just said was utter rubbish but glad I got this wonderful book for free, otherwise I would be participating in Amazon's tax avoidance scheme.

4.0 out of 5 stars Never owned an electric BBQ grill but this one does the job, 6 Jan. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Didn't know what the water tray was about until I started using it, the heating element also evaporate the water, where the moisture whilst cooking make sure it does not overly char the food, keeping the meat tender and succulent, which makes for a different but tastier result compared to say an oven grill.

4.0 out of 5 stars Quality for the price., 19 Dec. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Not the most comfortable boots, the slouch effect made an uncomfortable crease on the instep of the foot, has a hard sole likely wears out fast, a bit wide on the calf, sizing seems correct, excellent price for the quality though can't beat that (at £77 on sale), nice leather finish.

Toffee Netbook / PC 11.6 inch Leather Sleeve - Red

5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely leather sleeve Not neoprene!, 12 Nov. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Was gutted when I had to return this, why? Because it was too small for a 11" Thinkpad laptop, so if you own one of these avoid the hassle. It is more suitable for a 10" netbook.

The quality is excellent, there is no better laptop sleeve, it is leather... I eventually ended up with yet another polyester laptop bag, sad indeed.
