5.0 out of 5 stars simply magnificent, 5 Oct. 2008
This review is from: Send For The Sea (Audio CD)
for those of you who like your music to mean something, look no further than this. following on from an incredibly strong debut, this second release by Richard Neuberg and his band of gypsies in no way disappoints. Great songs, interesting musicianship and arrangements, the singer has a great set of lungs that he uses beautifully. Will appeal to all fans of Nick Cave, Leonard Cohen, Willard Grant and all things alt gothic country.
Deserves to be huge.
one of the few great releases of 2008.

5.0 out of 5 stars more perfect pop from the new Norwegians in town, 30 Oct. 2005
This review is from: There's One Thing (Audio CD)
From anyone who saw Robert on his recent Texas support across the Uk, it will come a s no surprise just how good this is. From the opening beats of zen-like drummer Tor, surely one of the best in the world, Robert is able to deliver another pure melody of pop perfection. He makes it look easy. He makes singing sound easy. There really is nothing wrong with this.
For those of you who like music to deliver the golden rush of summer, go ahead and buy it to help beat the winter blues.
Even better, buy the album.

5.0 out of 5 stars the norwegians do it again, 24 Aug. 2005
This review is from: Robert Post (Audio CD)
A wonderfully melodic debut from a great new Norwegian talent. Robert Post sings and sounds more English than your average Brit, and is blessed with considerable talent.
The songs are rich and varied, leaving you mellow and happy. The new single, Got None, is a masterclass in songwriting; the beatles meets mature a-ha/savoy. The band deliver the tunes with real craft - this is a proper team effort. Mike Hedges knows a good thing when it comes along, and these Norwegians are certainly that.
Should be huge, and rightly so.

5.0 out of 5 stars outstanding first album, 20 Aug. 2005
This review is from: Where The Killers Run (Audio CD)
Beautifully packaged, Viarosa have really delivered the goods on this, their debut long player. Building on early promise, Richard Neuberg's talented band have created music of quite exceptional emotional depth and complexity. It feels important. Part of the lineage of great songwriters and lyricists. All of life is contained within this release, building to a euphoric redemptive flourish with the songs soul light and wake.
It is a measure of the music's strength that favourite songs keep changing, and there is no slack or filler material here. One can only wonder how great this band can become.

5.0 out of 5 stars late night listen, 8 April 2005
This review is from: Porous (Audio CD)
From the opening chords, you know you are in for a special treat. The beauty and sadness of Viarosa's music creeps up on you like a thief in the night, and when it is good it is great.
Music that reflects the beauty and sadness of life, the singer has a voice to kill for. These songs worm their way into your head, and they are in there to stay. Simply stunning. Highly recommended.
