1.0 out of 5 stars No service!, 19 Jan 2011
My unit failed after a few months. It wouldn't recognise or re-program the remote. I've since contacted the manufacturers TWICE but they won't acknowledged me! 'Sad that such a large company can't look after their customers.

5.0 out of 5 stars So Real..., 20 Dec 2008
So real that I started apologizing to my virtual Instructor!

Whether your a beginner with Flight Simulator (FSX or FS2004), a lapsed pilot needing some guidance, or an experienced flight simmer who enjoys the company of an experienced instructor (or naughty stow-away) - you'll find yourself contacting that favourite instructor of yours (who's always available) to jump aboard next to you and head off into those blue skies (or gray, for those who need the IFR experience).

Flummoxed using Flight Sim X? Don't you wish you could have someone in the cockpit with you telling you what's going on and what to do? FSFlying School gives you a choice of several instructors to help you fly according to the book. You can also crank up the drama by dialling up failures so you can practise emergency procedures under the watchful eye of your instructor.

Simple to set up and use, with great guys behind it providing responsive support, and a growing community of devotees, this package is amazing value for such a great add-on.

Get it now and start posting your scores online so everyone'll know you're 'Top Gun' calibre.

4.0 out of 5 stars Small niggle, 29 Aug 2007
'Had this a few months now. Great value for money (at £70).

Fast preview and scan, high resolution, handsome silver design. But why doesn't it scan the whole of the flatbed? Slide a photo into the corner edges of the scanner bed and you'll lose 2-3mm or so, on both x and y axis on two edges of your scan! You have to slide your photos away from the edges to catch the whole area. If I were scanning a lot of photos (without borders) then I'd need to wedge something against the edges if I wanted 100% area scans.

Software is OK but only allows you to save (and delete) scanner settings (such as resolution, document type, etc) as "Current setting", "Setting 1", "Setting 2", and so on - you can't (re-)name the setting with something you'll remember!

Also, if you select the "Photo"-type scan option in the Professional scan mode (recommended) then the software automangley selects "Auto Exposure" and "Unsharp Mask", which, being the scan professional that I am, are options that I only wish to worry about once my scan reaches Photoshop! (You can unselect these options, but you have to do this each time you scan.)

The default scan has a very slight pinky colour cast (scan something neutral gray to show it) which you can, I assume, change software settings to compensate for (but I haven't got around to/haven't needed to calibrate out yet).

Small gripes, nonetheless, for a satisfying machine.

1.0 out of 5 stars No Drivers for WIN XP PRO x64!, 1 May 2007
Be warned:

- There are NO drivers for Win XP Pro x64 (64 bit)

- Support is less than helpful:

- No refund offered - "drivers under dev" (no delivery time estimated)

- No workarounds offered (How about dual boot with Win XP Pro?)
