3.0 out of 5 stars Beware!, 29 May 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Certainly powerful enough. Tools seem a bit flimsy, time will tell. Beware of stray fibres in your carpets, especially on thresholds...a thread was caught by the Hoover, and I watched in horror as the machine pulled it and destroyed about 4 inches of carpet before I could switch it off!
As others have pointed out, the mains cable is ridiculously short.

2.0 out of 5 stars Yes indeed, a very poor transfer, 23 Nov 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Oh dear what a disappointment - was really looking forward to this. Somewhere along the line these transfers have been cocked up, result being that the studio bound vt sections are fuzzy, with blurred motion, and a funny sort of 'trellis' effect on many scenes. So, lovely as it is to see these old shows again, a thumbs down. A similar problem to the releases of Grange Hill and P.C.Penrose, for those in the know.

2.0 out of 5 stars Un-edited please!!, 15 July 2013
Bought this hoping they'd been transferred properly this time in 'as broadcast episodes...but no! 3 episodes stitched together per disc, ghastly re-done credits front and back. Why even go the bother of messing about with them? In this respect no improvement on the Playback sets, though somehow better picture quality. Still disappointed. Oh, and why on earth they put a photo of a character that only appears in four episodes on the front cover, heaven only knows....sigh!

3.0 out of 5 stars Be aware!, 5 April 2012
Mmm, the Ask Aspel special feature is not a complete programme, merely the conversation bits strung together....the complete programme might have justified the price!

4.0 out of 5 stars Taxi......!, 23 Jan 2012
This review is from: Citizen James [DVD] (DVD)
You would have thought they'd throw in the sole surviving episode of BBC's Taxi!, starring Sid, as well...missed opportunity. Sure Network would have done that!

4.0 out of 5 stars Quality series?, 5 Dec 2007

Fun as it was to see this quaint comedy again after all these years, has anyone noticed a strange quality to the video transfer? Almost like an NTSC conversion!

3.0 out of 5 stars Hancock's Half There...., 26 Oct 2007
Just bought this set - what a disappointment! Firstly, the discs are a mish mash of styles, from the old "Best of..." to the latest disc with the last episode and Face To Face.So it doesn't really feel like a 'set' at all. There are no sleeve notes...I found myself having to search discs to find an episode with a commentary. Nice to see original prints being used, but one episode has been left, rather oddly, with those nasty 1980s titles, and an end credit sequence not suited to that particular season. Anyone got any ideas? At the very least they could have copied the correct opening over from another episode. All a bit half-hearted really.Has the BBC got Network's number...? It would also have been rather nice to have the 1990s BBC drama about Hancock included....or The Government Inspector? Or Festival Hall? A wonderful opportunity missed.
