5.0 out of 5 stars Helmet before my pillow, 22 Jun 2010
Like most I read before bed and Helmet for my Pillow was hard for me to get into at first but after preserving through many failed attempts it does get easier to get into. By the time it had ended, I was a little upset that it did not go on longer and actually looked forward to going to bed to finishing it off, though I was more than happy with the conclusion.

After finishing, I gave the book to my girlfriend to read and like me, she found it difficult at first to get into but after a few long nights she got into it and loved it by the end and has since reattempted to finish my helmet for her pillow.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Comedy on Channel 4, 2 April 2007
Need I say more, this box set is just each of the series DVDs in a outer cardboard box with no extras that are sometimes found in box sets. Must own for any fan of the show and the steady sales of the DVDs have been the cause of the return of the show for two more series.

The actual show is brilliant and consistent all the way through the series and the extras available offer a little insight to the programme and some even follow on to the programmes like the really funny Jez's video will on the series 1 DVD.

This show is by far the funniest comedy on channel 4, which used to pride itself on very good quality of comedy shows. Channel 4 have put a lot of rubbish comedy programmes on recently in a miss match mess of bad/weird comedy and reality TV programmes though Peep Show has and still is shining through the crap to hold out some hope for British comedy on the channel.

3.0 out of 5 stars Holy Smokes Batman......, 2 April 2007
This is a decent enough boxset with the first four feature films of Batman. This boxset contains the single DVD editions of the movies, which have little in the way of extras.

So this boxset is ideal if you just want to own or make up your Batman movie collection, however if you want more indepth viewing buy the 2 DVD Editions available seperatly or wait until there is a new boxset with the the 2 DVD Editions and the recent 5th presequel movie Batman Begins.

4.0 out of 5 stars Born to be a best seller, 9 Feb 2007
This review is from: Born to be Riled (Paperback)
From the recent success of new Top Gear and recent book The World According to Jeremy Clarkson's work has been republished and this book is one of the republished editions. It is in the same vain as "The World According To....", as in it is a collection of articles Clarkson has write for various publications. This book pre-dates "The World According To...." book and was released originally in 1999. It contains a lot of articles for the same period of time which have made some of the information and Clarkson's views a little old or politically incorrect but considering that some of the articles could be a decade old it is granted that his opinion and public view will change over time.

If you liked "The World According To...." by Clarkson then you'll love this re-release, it is far larger as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best UK sitcom of this decade., 3 Feb 2007
Ricky Gervais returns with he second season of Extras, following on from the previous series Gervais's character gets into awkward situations usually caused by his own ignorance or from his friends Maggie or his useless manager Darren Lamb played by Gervais's writing and directing partner Stephen Merchant. Many people say that Merchant steals this series of the show and he does if it wasn't for a midget fighting with Harry Potter which Gervais eventually gets involved with. Other highlights include the crap catchphrase of Andy's TV show character "Are you havin' a laugh?, Is he/she havin' a laugh?" which remains as a back joke from the later episodes of series 1 right through to the last episode where the joke is revealed.

In all the best sit-com of this decade and a crime if this is the end of the series. The one of the TV shows around that will still be funny in a decades time.

Building Websites with Joomla! v1.0

3.0 out of 5 stars Good reference, but not the definative guide., 3 Feb 2007
This book is a great reference for maintaining Joomla sites, alot of screenshots and breif explainations of what to do/ is happening. Great if you want to quickly refer to if you want to verify what you are about to do. Not a definative guide about how to build and fully maintain a Joomla based site. Offical documentation is very similar and is free but this is quicker to flick through for quicker search.

Good solid reference book, but that is all it is, a reference book. A little out of date with current Joomla technology but still very relevent and the difference is very minor.

4.0 out of 5 stars The wheel of fortune, 16 July 2004
If you are thinking about buying a wheel for your cube this is it. You can program all the button to any configuration you want. It has gear padels behind the wheel, granted they aren't much use on default setting but program them to be brake and accleration and now you are talking.
