1.0 out of 5 stars Poor. I take it back................ its really poor !, 20 Feb. 2010
This review is from: Morning View (Audio CD)
I cannot bear this album and this band - they are so awful. Its sterile, vacant and typical of American nothingness. The picture on the Cover is the best thing about it - and that's crap!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Summer Record, 20 Feb. 2010
Read the other review. He got it wrong. "Rollercoaster EP" was cracking. I saw them on the Rollercoaster tour with Blur with MBV. It was seminal. The Oldies always pluck for the early stuff, whereas me and my mates always preferred this album and "Automatic".

It is a simple, straightforward stunner of an album. 'I can't get enough' is by the way the best track on the album.

5.0 out of 5 stars oUCH!!!! This album is so good!, 20 Feb. 2010
This remastered version is just too sweet. This album hasn't dated even one day. This is a peach of an Album. Chicago or Washington D.C. Seattle or NYC. No American band (save for Superchunk) can compete with Jawbox. Their problem is that they turned up to the party to late. By the time this album turned up the scene was already over. Every track on this album is a gem. 'Jackpot Plus' steals the show though.

This is a band who have either sold out, or have lost their look of life - too much apple pie!

Over the Top phoney emotion. The woe is pathetic.
I am not convinced. Stick to Superchunk, the true purveyors of credible pain delivery.

This Album wipes the floor with Nirvana. The pucker thing is that they were British as well.

The Plebs shouldn't comment. The other reviews are laughable.

The Posies never really had their day. They are a band with an immense talent that deserved so many more accolades. It is true that they cannot match Bigstar for out and out greatness, but they are still a damn good band and this is still a damn good album!
