Brabantia Protective Cover for Wallfix Dryer
Brabantia Protective Cover for Wallfix Dryer
Price: 12.20

5.0 out of 5 stars Better quality than one supplied with the Wallfix Dryer, 3 Nov 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This product is made from a much more hard wearing material than the Brabantia cover supplied with the Wallfix Dryer. I am confident that it will give many years of use. Another point to note is that the cover supplied was black in colour, with a white fleck woven into the material. I am therefore sure that weathering will not be so obvious.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great TV, provided you have a proper sound system to run it through!, 28 Sep 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I used to be a Sony man when it came to electrical products, but have converted to Panasonic over the last couple of years. This TV joins a Panasonic 37" Plasma and a Panasonic 26" LCD (due for replacement - it's so deep by comparison)!

Am generally pleased with this LED TV - the picture is very good with Freeview HD onboard (though beware, swift movements sometimes appear jerky) and the 3D function is very impressive (upscaling 2D to 3D is okay, full 3D Bluray playback is incredible!). The SMART function is also very useful but as yet the 4oD service, ITV Player and LoveFilm Instant are all unavailable, so felt a little cheated there.

The TV is incredibly slim, which is technically very impressive. However, the downside is the lack of room for decent speakers - the onboard sound is exceptionally tinny. I can only presume it has a couple of mobile phone speakers, because the sound reproduction is as you would expect from a run-of-the-mill polyphonic phone. I run mine through a Panasonic cinema system which fixes this. If you are swapping from a CRT or early Flatscreen you WILL be disappointed with the sound quality - so make sure the 3D Bluray player you buy comes with a 5.1 setup and speakers!

2.0 out of 5 stars Looks swish, but very poor wireless performance!, 13 Jan 2011
I bought this keyboard to replace my original Dell wireless keyboard, which had started to act up. This wireless replacement worked fine to start with, but unfortunately the wireless signal cuts in and out. Therefore, it misses keystrokes resulting in utter nonsense on screen. Furthermore, though the inclusion of numerous hot keys is worthy of praise, the use of high gloss piano black plastic to surround the keys is not - the board is covered in fingerprints, especially around the cursor keys. My final gripe is that the rubberised wrist rest is similarly susceptible to marks. All in all, a disappointing product that now looks tatty despite being a little over 4 months old. Will be switching back to wired!

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant machine - especially when combined with a separate milk frother!, 7 Jan 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I received the Philips Senseo Quadrante Coffee System as a gift this Christmas. I am a huge latte fan and had spent many hours weighing up the pros and cons of more expensive machines that ground coffee beans and frothed milk. Ultimately, I was put off by the fantastic price of these professional/industrial coffee makers (200-400), so I chose this machine for the coffee and a Bodum Milk Frother for the necessary milk. I couldn't be happier! Sure, it probably takes a little while longer (2 minutes to froth and heat the milk) but the results once perfected are sublime! The Senseo Quadrante is compact, well made, and very easy to use. It has a few removable parts which make cleaning easy. The water chamber is huge, so it will easily make 8 drinks from one fill up, but the whole machine is actually very compact. The pods (essentially coffee in a 67mm diameter teabag) are readily available in supermarkets (and indeed are the cheapest pod coffee available in my supermarket, undercutting the Dulce Gusto and Nespresso pods) and can also be purchased online. The price is not prohibitively expensive (2.60 for 18 pods = 14.4p a coffee), but bear in mind that the machine has a double pod holder for making two drinks, so if you drink a lot of coffee you might be better off investing in a professional machine with bean grinder. Furthermore, no cups are supplied with the machine and it ships with only 4 pods on board = 4 drinks. Also, the machine requires a monthly descale with citric acid and the Senseo brand descaler is VERY expensive. However, citric acid is readily available in powder form for a much cheaper price (I bought 2kgs for 13 and this will be sufficient for over 3 years of descaling!)

In response to some of the criticism levelled at this machine in previous reviews, I have not been able to detect a plastic taste in any of the drinks made (I flushed the machine twice before use) and the coffee is always hot. Add a milk frother for 10 and you have a very professional drink at a reasonable price. This machine is now available for [...] online from Philips (we paid [...] before Christmas - I do not know if January's VAT hike has pushed this price up a bit now!)

5.0 out of 5 stars Sleek, strong, solid!, 30 Sep 2010

This is a neat solution that is relatively easy to assemble and looks very good when built, especially crowned with a mighty flat screen television! It was bought for our new 37" plasma TV, and its toughened glass shelves easily cope with the weight. Two additional shelves are provided for the compulsory DVD/HD/BluRay/Sound System. The only criticism would be that the "cable system" is limited to two holes down the centre of the rear - so, though the cables are gathered, they are not hidden. Nice to see a return to black from silver/grey too!

5.0 out of 5 stars Satisfying set at a pinch of a price!, 30 Sep 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I can heartily recommend this impressive plasma TV. Okay, it's no longer cutting edge, as new TVs boast higher resolutions, FreeSat decoders and even 3D images. However, when you take into account its bargain price and the fact that it is produced by a quality manufacturer, it is difficult to beat. Furthermore, colours are alive - really punchy (and I am comparing this with a Panasonic LCD TV already owned) and, surprisingly for a flat screen, the standard sound is really quite powerful. Furthermore, it integrates well with other Panasonic products (e.g. DVD/HD/BluRay etc) via the Viera link controls - meaning that you can operate all the equipment from one remote.
