5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent value, 9 Jan 2012
This could well be the best blu ray box set that I own. Not only does it feature all five Superman movies in stunning HD, but it also includes the expanded edition of Superman The Movie and the Richard Donner Cut of Superman II. As for the special features - they are some of the most comprehensive that I have ever seen. If you have even just a passing interest in the Superman movies, then buy this now. At 27 it is well worth the money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely brilliant, 8 Jan 2012
This version of 'A Christmas Carol' is easily the best since the classic Alastair Sim version from 1951. The beautiful animation gives the old familiar story a whole new lease of life. Jim Carrey is excellent in his role of Ebenezer Scrooge (as well as the three Ghosts of Christmas). I get the feeling that I wont be able to wait until next Christmas to watch this again!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Tap have still got it!, 2 Aug 2009
This is an excellent release from Spinal Tap. The album is a collection of new songs and re-recordings of classics such as Hell Hole and Tonight I'm Gonna Rock You Tonight. The re-recordings offer a fresh take on the old hits and the new songs are great too.
The album also comes with a DVD featuring the band talking about each song individually and as usual they are absolutely hilarious.
Overall, a truly great release from Spinal Tap!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great movie and a fantastic Blu ray, 10 Nov 2008
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is another classic Indy adventure which stands up extremely well to the first three movies in the series. Those who were upset by what they saw as an 'unrealistic ending' obviously have never seen the ending to an Indiana Jones film! Put simply, this is classic Indiana Jones.
Now onto the Blu ray disc itself - the image is crystal clear and the sound is superb. There are also numerous making-ofs and trailers. The only thing that would have made this release even better would have been a commentary track by Steven Spielberg and George Lucas.
All in all, this is a great movie and if you are a true Indiana Jones fan, you won't be disappointed by this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Alf Garnett at his very best, 3 Nov 2008
This DVD release comprises all five Christmas specials from the classic sitcom In Sickness and In Health and each one of them is hilarious, very well acted and sharply written.
The episodes feature Alf and Else's final Christmas together while the remaining episodes deal with Alf's constant battles with upstairs neighbour Mrs. Hollingbury.
If you are a fan of Alf Garnett or just great comedy in general, then you should purchase this DVD now.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Christmas tradition, 8 Dec 2007
This DVD release contains the 1982, 1984 and 1987 Christmas specials of The Two Ronnies which were practically a British institution.
The disc also conatins specials suvh as the 1972 edition of Christmas With The Stars and the Old Fashioned Christmas Mystery. As a bonus, there is also a documentery featuring interviews with Ronnie Corbett and others who helped make the show what it was.
My personal favourite sketch comes from the 1987 Christmas special - it is Pinocchio II: Killer Doll and is one of the darkest sketches that The Two Ronnies ever did.
If you are a fan of old-fashioned Christmas Entertainment and specifically The Two Ronnies, then you sjould not hesitate in buying this great DVD release.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great treatment of a classic album, 4 Sep 2007
When I heard that The Piper at the Gates of Dawn was being re-released to commemorate its 40th anniversary, I was really pleased because this is an album that has stood the test of time for four decades, and in this day and age, that is something of an achievement. The reason why it is so beloved is because of the wealth of classic material on the album from epic tracks Astronimy Domine and Intersteller Overdrive to quirky little numbers such as The Gnome and Bike. This album really shows off the genius of lead vocalist and writer Syd Barrett, who unfortunately did not remain with Pink Floyd beyond their second studio album (A Saucerful Of Secrets).
This new version of the album comes in very attractive packaging - it resembles a red cloth book with a photo on the front of the classic 1967 album cover. The new version contains three discs. The first is the original mono recording, the second is the enhanced stereo version and the third contains Pink Floyd's early singles including the classics Arnold Layne, See Emily Play and Apples and Oranges as well as alternative versions of Matilda Mother and Intersteller Overdrive.
This truly is a great release and is a must for any true Pink Floyd fan.
