Life changing... Brilliant!, 25 Jun. 2012
After reading many books on abuse, I found most focus on the behaviour of the abuser, abusive profiles etc. This is fine up to a point, to help you to identify this in a relationship etc and make decisions as to whether to stay or go, but they don't seem to go much further than that... Which is where this wonderful book comes in.
The author herself has 'been there' and writes with such insight and sensitivity, and understanding that reading it felt so comforting and safe. The real focus on the book, is healing from an abusive relationship, being kind to yourself, and identifying the life you now want to live and how you can gently get there. It's like having a loving, gentle, encouraging counsellor or life coach walk with you through your recovery to a healthier, happier life of freedom. You no longer feel alone, and one day after starting to read and identify with it, and working through the easy but powerful exercises, I was feeling hopeful and excited about my future, instead of heavy hearted and overwhelmed. Very empowering,
I can't recommend highly enough or thank the Author enough for helping me in so many ways.
