5.0 out of 5 stars Really great headphones, 22 July 2008
This review is from: Creative Aurvana DJ (Electronics)
Contrary to one other review, my set experienced no echo problems. The headphones performed very well, and the sound is very bassy while staying nice and crisp at the high end.

Sound leakage can be the only problem with these so they're unsuitable for office use.

3.0 out of 5 stars Excellent - while they last, 26 July 2006
When i first bought these I was really impressed with the quality of the sound. Excellent base. Perfect all-round.

Then after abut 6 weeks I lost all sounds from the right earphone. I was a bit annoyed but Amazon were excellent and immediately sent me out a replacement.

These replacements have now broken also in exactly the same way, and i see from a couple of other customer reviews that other people are having the same problem with these earphones.

Personally, I won't be going for these again. There is clearly a defect with some of them and I was unlucky enough to get two of them. The EP-635's are out now, and I'd reccomend going for those instead of these.

5.0 out of 5 stars took my breath away..., 30 April 2006
This review is from: Radiator (Audio CD)
i was shocked at how brilliant this album was. The band is almost like a British version of Eels. If you loved Beautiful Freak, you'll love this album, and visa versa.

Almost every single song is an absolute winner... in terms of songs that are suitable to hit the radio as singles you are spoilt for choice here. The album is very strong all the way through. You'll want to listen to it on repeat over and over again.

The songs do vary in style which means it doesn't have that "samey" feel of so many similar albums out there.

I cannot recommend this album highly enough. It's collosal.

4.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful insight, 3 Dec. 2004
This review is from: Below The Radio (Audio CD)
This CD is a very nice compilation.
Not only is it a great collection of songs, but if you are a Grandaddy fan it is special in another way too. It gives a really good insight into Jason's influences and where he draws his inspiration from.
There are a few artists on here i had never previously heard of, and even the ones i had heard of, i don't own any of the songs. Mix tapes of this sort are really good if you are looking to 'discover' a new band. I personally have put a few of the associated CD's on my wishlist and will hopefully get them soon.
Buy this CD because it has brilliant songs. It definately has the lytle-factor, and for that reason it has a magical edge.

3.0 out of 5 stars Unoriginal, 11 Nov. 2004
This album is totally overrated.
Many of the songs are very good. Do You Realize is brilliant.
But so many of the songs include melodies and tunes etc which have been heard a hundred times before in a hundred different songs.
They were sued by Cat Stevens because Fight Test was such a rip off of one of his songs.
In the morning of the magicians is also another rip-off. It is a good song... but SO unoriginal. It could easily have been made by copying and pasting lots of different bits of other peoples songs together.
"Are you a hypnotist" and definately "all we have is now" are both totally drab, and again unoriginal.
If you want a trully breathtaking album, buy something by Grandaddy or Mercury Rev. I prefer Sparklehorse to this.
The Flips are a good band, but this CD is such an unoriginal CD, why did they have to rip off so much other stuff?
The way this CD has been acclaimed is a total joke.
Buy something else.
