1.0 out of 5 stars cheap, 24 April 2009
this book is cheap and its easy to see why when it turns up. all the entrys are spanish first so not practical to use in a hurry. i got confused and give up when it gives three diffrent words for mushroom.

4.0 out of 5 stars excellent!, 24 Jun 2008
this is an excellent book to get back to the basics of where is all started, very hard going, but i would say dont give up, read to the end and it all kind of falls into place to give the reader an understanding of the wider picture even if you dont recall all the names and places! not the sort of book you can spend a few months reading as you could get lost with the who's and wheres ect. tells you the stuff the news seems to think we all know already, great if you want to join a debate and be on top, or just to understand the question 'why' its happening.

5.0 out of 5 stars a side we never see in the history programs or on the news..., 24 Jun 2008
i was so engrossed with this book i read it in two days. its gives the reader a glimpes into life in Iran before the 70's. when life was peacfull and Tehran was a beautiful place to live. Marinas life as a teenager, love, and being torn apart from everything she new when she was imprisioned in Evin, woke me up to the horrors that happened. shes gives just enough detail with out being over dramatised and full of goar, but i did have tears once or twice as it realy dose awaken you from what you think went on, to what realy went on. amazing book, gave me a better understanding of why people leave their home countrys, family and loved ones to live some where like here in the UK, where they can be resented as just being here for the social benifits ect. after reading this book you will see things diffrent as well.
