Rev - Series 1-2 Box Set [DVD]
Rev - Series 1-2 Box Set [DVD]
Dvd ~ Tom Hollander
Price: £13.40

4.0 out of 5 stars Hilarious, 7 Feb. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The situation is unpromising: a sparsely attended and run down church in a run down inner London borough, But as with much of the best comedy the humour is in the characters. Hollander and McBurney in particular are superb.

Houghton Revisited: The Walpole Masterpieces from Catherine the Great's Hermitage
Houghton Revisited: The Walpole Masterpieces from Catherine the Great's Hermitage
by Thierry Morel
Edition: Hardcover
Price: £40.00

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous record of a fabulous exhibition, 7 Feb. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Houghton Hall is a gem in the south west Norfolk countryside. The premise and the execution of restoring its long-sold art collection from the Hermitage (and a few other museums) not only to their old home but the places where the paintings had hung and in some cases in their original frames was marvellous. This book is a worthy record of that occasion.

DK Eyewitness Travel Guide: Norway
DK Eyewitness Travel Guide: Norway
by Snorre Evensberget
Edition: Flexibound

3.0 out of 5 stars Good as far as it goes, 7 Feb. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The DK Eyewitness series is always very attractively presented with plenty of characteristically good colour photos and diagrams but this format also limits the amount of essential detail which they can contain and the Norway guide is no exception. I chose this because it was more up to date (or at least recently published) than any other guide but generally, that aside, it is no substitute for the Rough Guide or Lonely Planet.

One general warning about Norway: even if you think you know how expensive it is, you are in for an unpleasant surprise!

The Sale of Goods
The Sale of Goods
by M. G. Bridge
Edition: Paperback

4.0 out of 5 stars Now old but still useful, 20 May 2007
This review is from: The Sale of Goods (Paperback)
This book was published in 1998 and, in the normal way, therefore reflects the law as it was a year earlier than that. It is now well out of date but nonetheless last week (in May 2007) I found a number of points of interest and insight which justify its continuing to remain on my bookshelf.
