5.0 out of 5 stars Loved It! Genius...., 13 July 2007
As a huge fan of the Letters books, I must admit I was a bit sceptical as to how this would work in a diary format. Well, I need not have worried. I loved it! Its quite unlike anything else out there and takes you into an inane little world of Mr Cooper's life and incidents, helped along by more of his stupid drawings, inventions and pointless arguments. There are so many brilliantly funny entries and lots of different plot-lines which meander along throughout. Thoroughly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars The wait is over!, 6 Feb. 2006
Thank god the BBC finally got round to releasing this DVD of one of the comedy highlights of 2005, although if it had been out before Christmas all of my friends and family would have got the same present!
If you've never heared of this, just buy it now anyway. Think The Day Today meets The League of Gentlemen - in a 1980's Tomorrow's World format! The Invention of the Year live final is one of the great 30 minutes of comedy, and yes it really is hosted in the presense of HRH Sir Prince Charles.
And yet again, the Look Around You boys have packed the DVD full of extras.
Great stuff! Gruff.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for anyone with a Sense of Humour, 14 Nov. 2005
This is one of those rare comic gems you chance upon and then can't put down. I was bought it for my birthday and I'm still laughing to myself. Anyone with a sense of humour, especially a British one, can't fail to be amused.
The book does exactly what it says on the cover - its a charming collection of wonderfully stupid, pointless and at times insane correspondence with people who I can only assume are simply incapable of distinguishing between normal people and an obvious nutcase. Various requests to the British Domesticated Ostrich Association, the National Vegetable Society, the Bathroom Manufacturers Association and even 10 Downing Street and the Prince of Wales are all met polite, if confused responses.
But for me, the extensive report of Robin's encounter with aliens to the British UFO Research Association as well as the redesigned dart board to the Professional Dart Players Association (rectangular with hundreds of tiny triangle scoring zones), were works of genius.
I know what all my mates are getting this Christmas!
